Chapter 13

Two weeks later.

Erin's pov.

So today is the first day back to work. Jay made me take two weeks off. And I can't believe I actually agreed with him. Well I was in a lot of pain after getting shot. But I'm better now and I'm ready to get back to work.

6:25 am

"Jay Jay wake up." I say as I shake his shoulder.

"Huh what's wrong? Are you alright?" He says shooting up out of bed.

"Yeah I'm fine. It's time to get up. We have to get ready for work." I say fitting out of bed.

"Oh yeah right." He says calming down.

"OK I need to shower." I say giving Jay a quick kiss and running quickly to the bathroom before he can stop me.

I lock the door so that he can't get in and join me. My wound is still fresh so it's still bandaged. Before I get into the shower I take off my bandage. It's still red and doesn't look very pretty. I turn on the water and jump in. As soon as the water touches my skin I flinch and it almost brings tears to my eyes. I have been telling everyone that I am alright and that I don't hurt anymore. But the truth is it hurts. I mean I was just shot.

I hury up in the shower and hop out. I get dressed in my red leather jacket and a black t-shirt with dark jeans. I walk out to the kitchen to find Jay at the stove. I walk up behind him and wrap my arms around him.

"You made me breakfast?" I say as my nose is filled with a wonderful scent.

"Yeah it's nothing special just some eggs. I mean we have to eat." He says sarcastically

"Well thank you." I say giving him a quick kiss and grabbing plates and forks.

Jay brings the eggs to the table and loads the plates.

"Breakfast for my lady." He says after loading up my plate.

"Well thank you kind sir." I say laughing.

We hurry up and eat then Jay gets dressed in his black leather jacket and blue t-shirt and jeans. My boyfriend looks hot.

"Let's go or we are going to be late. I'm driving." He says grabbing the keys.

"No... fine but just this once." I say not feeling like arguing.

I follow him down to the car and he jumps in on the driver's side with a grin on his face.

"Hey don't get used to this." I say because he knows I am driving after this.

"I won't. Just enjoying it while it lasts." He says pulling out of our parking lot.

We pull up and walk up the the bullpen. Surprisingly no sarcastic comment from Platt. That's rare. We walk up and right before we go through the door Jay stops me.

"I love you, you know that right." He says.

"Yeah I love you too." I say smiling.

Jay smiles and gives me a small kiss on the lips. I grab his hand and walk through the door with a smile on my face.

"Well look who it is." Kevin says once he sees me.

"Hey kevin." I say.

"Did I miss something." Ruzek says looking at Jay and I.

I look at Jay. Did he not tell anyone?

"Halstead Lindsay my office." Hank says poking his head out of his office.
