Chapter 23

Erin's pov

Jay should be home any minute now from Adam's.

J- just pulled up. On my way up now.

He texts as soon as I think this. I pull out my phone and answer.

E- OK see you soon

With that i put my phone down and waited the few minutes it takes for him to get up. 2 minutes later he comes up pizza box in hand. He walks in and puts the pizza box down and grabs me and pulls me close. His lips meet mine in a passionate kiss like he hasn't seen me in days.

"I missed you." He says as he pulls away but not too far resting his forehead on mine.

"I missed you too." I say giving him another small kiss.

"Hey did you notice that black suv out there?" Jay asks pointing towards the window.

"Um ya it was there when I got home. Come to think of it I think I have seen it alot today."

We look out the window and we see the car speeding away. Huh that's weird.

"Well how was your day?" He asks reaching behind him grabbing the pizza and leading me to the couch in the living room.

He puts the box on the table as I take a piece and lean back to tell him the events of my day.

"Well we went out to a diner to eat. And I was told alot of great stories." As I say this he groans knowing what I heard can't be good. "Like about the time when you were 9 and forgot your bathing suit. And how about when you were nervous around girls?" As I say this i lean in close and place my hands on his chest and pull him in for another kiss.

"I didn't believe that one as much." I say as I pull away.

"'Oh believe me it's true." He says adding a small chuckle.

"Well then we went shopping. And I actually had fun. I got you something too." I say as I reach behind the couch and grab the bag with his gift in it.

"Really you did." He says grabbing the bag.

He opens it and as soon as he sees it his eyes grow big and he let's out a small chuckle. "Erin. I love it"

"I thought you would. Because we'll scrabble is kind of our game. And it also has an "E" on it. So now when ever we are separated we can still be together. I got myself one with a "j" on it too"

As I finish my little explanation he pulls me into a passionate kiss that lasts a few minutes and we finaly pull away to catch our breaths.

"Er I love it and I love you too. Now come on you need to eat and we can watch a movie."

"Alright" I say picking up my piece and taking a bite.

"Oh I also told Felicia if they ever need a babysitter tor Lilly that we would be happy to do it."

"Ya that's great. It would be fun watching my niece."

"Hey hank called too. we have tomorrow off. Why don't we set it up tomorrow. Get Chris out if work for the day and then we can take lily and they can have a whole day to themselves."

"Ya that's a great idea. I will call his chief now."

With that Jay stood up and grabbed his phone and dialed the number of chris' chief.

All I could hear was jays end of the phone. "Hello make I speak to the chief?... yes hi chief this is jay Halstead. Chris Halstead's brother... yes I was wondering if he could have the day off work tomorrow?... yes we are planning a surprise for him and tomorrow is the only day we can do it... ok thank you so much sir... yes goodbye."
