Chapter 32

Erin's pov

It has been a week since we got Jay back and he is healing good. All his wounds have now healed and he has no scaring.

He is still at home on medical leave and really wishes that he could come to work. But he understands he needs the time to recover and that he can be back at work in two weeks and everything will be back to normal.

Today's case was a tough one. We got a tip about a sex trafficking ring that was kidnapping underage girls and selling them.

We managed to catch the guys behind it but in our search we realised just how big the trafficking ring is.

We can try our hardest but I don't think we will ever be able to catch them all.

Innocent girls will continue to be kidnapped and sold. This kind of stuff really hits me hard because I was almost these girls.

I was in such a dark place when I was younger that this could easily have been me but I was lucky it wasn't.

"Hey Erin we're all going to Molly's. Are you going to come?" I hear kevin ask as he walks out of the locker room on his way out.

"Um I'm not sure I think I'm going to just head home." I say

"OK well I will see you Monday then." He says as he walks out.

I sat alone in the quiet bullpen for a few minutes before I grabbed my things and headed home.

When I arrived I saw Jay on the couch and he was fully dressed with his coat in his hands.

When he heard me walk in he stood up and walked over to me giving me a kiss.

"Hey" He said as he pulled away.

"Hey where are you going?"

"We are going to Molly's. Kevin texted me and said you guys had a rough day at work and I figured you deserve a night out to relieve some of your stress."

"Jay I don't want to. I just want to..."

"Come on er, you deserve this with all thats been going on lately. We just need a night out with our friends to let loose." He interrupts

"OK fine. Just a few drinks." I agree and we turn around and go back out the door.

We went down and got into the car. Jay in the passenger seat like usual.

We head out and make the short drive to the bar that was only 10 minutes from our appartment.

When we arrive all of our friends are there. The firefighters from firehouse 51, the doctors from med and the members of the intelligence unit along with Kim and a few others.

"Hey I thought you were staying in tonight?" Kevin says when he sees me.

"Well Jay dragged me out."

"Hey we miss you man." He says turning to jay

"Ya well I will be back in two weeks."

We go and sit down at a table with Adam, Kim, Antonio and Will.

I sit down beside Kim and Jay sits beside me.

"Hey I will be right back. You want a beer?" I ask Jay standing up.

"Um ya sure." He says.

So I stand up and walk up to the bar and sit at one of the stools.

"Hey Gabby can I get two beers?" I say when I see Gabby behind the bar
