Chapter 14

Erin's pov

I turn on the car and am about to pull away when Boom the apartment building behind us blows up.

"Woah Erin you alright". Said Jay.

I responded with. "Ya I'm alright". But the truth is when I jumped I banged my shoulder of the seat. And it hurt. It hurts to even breathe the pain shocked through my whole arm.

"Hey let's go we gotta check it out" Jay said putting his hand on my good shoulder.

"Ya" i say jumping get out of the car

"This is detective Jay Halstead we are at 472 wyld street east. We have a building explosion we need backup. Call firehouse 51 and Inteligence unit from district 21." Jay radioed in.

"Copy that detective they are on route" Dispatch responded through his radio.

"OK Jay let's go check it out"

So we take our guns out of the holsters and hold them out ready to shoot at anything that might come our way. We enter through the front door of the building. There are maybe 4 apartments inside but we couldn't get to them because it was to dangerous to go up the stairs. So we decide to go check out the back to see if our guy escaped out the back.

"Hey Erin look at this." Jay said crouching down. "Tiretracks"

"Looks like he had a vehical waiting for him and blew it up once he got away"

By the time we make it back to the front of the building everyone was there.

"Erin you guys alright" hank said as we walk up.

"Ya everything is good we were outside. But Sam Bell is defiantly our guy. Not two minutes after we left the place was exploding." I said.

"Hey so we cleared the building we got 4 people out they will all be fine they are going to med now. We can take you in now to see what we got." Said Kelly Severide.

"Aright Erin and Jay you go see what you can find meet us back at the district." Hank said walking towards his car.

"Alright come with me" Severide says leading us to the building.

"So we think this was it. It's a small device. Real easy set up. It could have done a lot more damage if this guy knew what he was doing. I don't think this guy is experienced looks like it's just something he found simply on the Internet. But we did however find the materials for at least 6 more of these so who knows how many this guy has with him." Severide explains.

"Hey thanks man. Erin we should head back and fill everyone in."

"Ya look here is a laptop. There isn't much left and it won't work but maybe mouse can do something with it."

So we grab the laptop and head out. We pull up to the district to find every officer outside with bomb squad. I find hank and walk up to him.

"Hank what's going on?" I ask when I get to him.

"A man walked in with a mysterious package said some guy gave him $50 to bring it here. So we cleared the building and called bomb squad."

"Hey it was a bomb it's all clear now. There was a note inside." Said one of the people from bomb squad handing hank the note.

"So if your reading this that means you are all still alive. I guess you have caught on by now. You know who I am. But your not going to catch me" hankread the note.

"OK we do whatever it takes to find this guy. He is threatening police. I don't care what we need to do. Just get him." Hank says. You can hear the rage in his voice.
