Louis’ POV

“You already met my nephew, Louis?”

“Hm… no.”

I don’t get it! I’m still reliving the moment I saw her for the first time in three years, countless times and I can’t understand why she said she didn’t know me.

Something’s happening, I’m sure. She just can’t pretend that I don’t exist, not after what we’ve been through. Even if she had… move on, she can’t pretend nothing happened.

Dr. Henry’s POV

A few seconds after Emily left my office, Sophia, my secretary, told me that I had a call in line from Mrs. Gray. I didn’t like at all of what I was doing, it against everything I believed and promised.

Emily was so confused and worried and lied to her in her face. That was, for sure, a memory from her past and that boy was someone really important to her, or she would have never had that “dream”.

I can’t stand lie to her anymore, I am no one to deny her the right she has to know her story, it is something that is part of her. Yes, I am going to end with this and it is going to be today!

“Mrs. Fray, how have you been?”

“Oh don’t beat about the bush. You’re secretary warned me that my daughter went to talk to you. I wanna know everything that happened on that room.”

“Your daughter told me she had a dream where she saw someone giving her a ring.”

“And who gave her the ring?”

“She didn’t tell me.”

“She didn’t tell you? You are her psychologist, you should have asked her! What you’re earning is not enough for you to make your work right?”

“I am a psychologist, not and detective. My job is to hear my clients and understand what they have, not research and, I beg your pardon, peeping their lives.”

“How dare you?” her voice sounded on the other side, offended.

“I don’t wanna do this anymore, Mrs. Fray.”

“You know what will happen to you, right?”

“Yes. Mrs. Fray, I’m old, I was going to retired anyway.”

“You will regret this!”

“Have the rest of a good day.” I said, hanging up the phone immediately.

Now, I have to go talk to Emily. I know that I can’t tell her anything directly, or her mother will do something worse than what she promised if I stopped working with her, but I can… lighten her up.

Emily’s POV

The rest of the day went well, because I didn’t see that tattooed guy again, which is due to the fact that I didn’t get out of my office, not even to go to the bathroom. When I got home, I felt a delicious smell and I found john on the kitchen.

I got closer to him and got on my tiptoes, giving him a kiss on his cheek, getting a smile in return.

“Now you cook every day?” I joked and he laughed.

“Don’t get use to it.”

“John, if I ask you something, will you answer me?” I asked, a while after.

“Yes, what’s going on?”

“Do you know who give me this ring?” I asked, raising my hand, showing the ring with the little silver leaves.
