Chapter 19 - Behind The Mask

I had no idea what was happening out there. All I thought everything was fine before I left for the camp then all of a sudden we were under attack?!

Our headquarters is hidden deep in middle of the woods. And I was still a few meters away when I notice dozens of motorbikes and cars, parked outside the main gate. Seeing this, I instinctively turned the other way around and ran the motorbike at the back of our base and quickly pressed the trunk of a the tree. A secret passage was revealed on the ground and I immediately went in. This passage is only known to the Vanguard (Chief/Supreme) and the Archons (Gang Leaders). To the rest, it remains a secret.

I quietly entered the premises and I can clearly hear the gunshots from outside the field. I quickly stormed in to see the Archons and some of the Legians pacing back ang forth. The room is in chaos but everyone silenced when they saw me standing at the door. All eyes are on me I knew they can feel my anger as to what is happening right now.

"Explain" I said briefly.

"You see, everything is alright when you left for some school activity. It only happened a day before you arrived that we discovered...someone has been spying on us..." Artemis answered my question.

"And that spy unfortunately was one of the Legians." Athena continued.

"Then why the fuck did you not know this before?!" I said hitting the table hard, causing the glass to crack.

"I want all Ravions out there to be backed-up including you Legians." I eyed them furiously. "We will discuss this issue later after we settle this chaos." They immediately left and emptied the room except for the Archons.

Athena's POV

Kitang-kita mo ang galit sa kanyang mga mata nang dumating siya sa base. Nagkakagulo na sa labas ng Headquarters habang kami naman ay nandito sa loob at namo-monitor sa mga pangyayari at kung ano ang susunod na hakbang.

"Apollo and Artemis I want your troops standby at the corners of the stadium until I give my signal." sabi niyang puno ng awtoridad.

"Athena, You will be the frontline together with Ares, Aion and their troops. Mine will be posting around the perimeters. As much as possible we cannot let them set a foot onto this building. Understood?" tumango naman kami sa pagsang-ayon.

"Saan ka naman pupunta?" Tanong ko sa kanya habang papalabas na siya nga room.

"I'll be out in the woods if ever you need help." at tuluyan na siyang nawala sa aming paningin.

Now this calls for fun!

Hera's POV

Agad akong nagtungo sa aking opisina dito sa base. Binuksan ko ang aking wardrobe at agad na nag palit ng damit. T-shirt, leather pants, combat boots, leather jacket, face mask and my black cap. Sinuot ko na rin ang aking gloves at pumunta sa aking personalized compartment para sa gagamitin kong mga sandata.

Mukang madugong labanan na naman ito. Binuksan ko ang isang malaking compartment sa likod ng aking book shelf at kumuha mula sa mga iyon.

3 M67 US grenade, 1 Desert Eagle, 3 magazines, 5 ninja pins and 1 swiss knife. Pumunta ako sa underground parking lot kung saan ako pumasok kanina at pinaandar ang big bike na ni reserve ko para sa mga panahong ganito.

Lumabas na ako ng perimeters at umikot sa main gate. Nagkukumpulan ang mga motor at mga sasakyan nila. Tss bobo. Nilabas ko ang dalawang grenade at inihagis ito doon. Dali-dali akong nagpatakbo palayo para maiwasan ang matamaan ng mga pira-pirasong bakal mula sa pag sabog.
