Chapter 34 - Fire and Explosion

Andrei's POV

The explosion was unexpected. We were about to chase after Thunder when an explosion from the Science building was overheard. I didn't have second thoughts before running towards the direction of the building.

I'm sure they would understand. As the Vice President of the Student League it is my responsibility to take care of my fellow students and make sure they are unharmed. Besides, if Thunder was here, he would also do the same.

"Fuck." rinig kong usal ni Harris.

"Call the Fire Station, quick!" Lumalaki na ang apoy at sa fourth floor ito nagsimula kaya kinakain narin nito ang third floor.

Wait...

4th floor?!

Bullshit! The Documents!

I quickly ran as fast as I could towards the top floor where those documents were hidden. Hindi iyon pwedeng masunog. Not now, not yet.

"Drei! Drei!"

Pagkaakyat ko sa third floor ay hindi pa nakakalahati ang sunog sa buong floor kaya marami pa akong madadaanan. Pumasok ako sa may exit at kinuha ang isang fire extinguisher para maibsan kahit papano ang apoy.

Pagkarating ko na sa fourth floor ay nagkalat ang mga basag na salamin, mga pintong nasusunog, naghuhulugang mga flourescent at napuputol na mga kuryente. Tatlong rooms lang naman ang nandirito, ang stock room, invention room at ang file room kung saan ang mga importanteng dokumento nang mga nakaraang administrasyon nang paaralan.

Those documents must be kept safe at all cost. Nang mapasok ko ang silid ay punong-puno na ito nang maitim na usok. Kinuha ko naman ang panyo ko at binasa iyon nang tubig mula sa isang basong nasa mesa saka tinakpan ang ilong ko. Dali-dali kong tinungo ang vault at pinindot ang code. I hope this works...

Yes!

Kinuha ko ang lahat nang mga papeles na nandoon at isinuksok sa loob nang jacket ko. Dali-dali ko namang isinara ang vault at tumakbo palabas nang silid. Masyado nang mainit ang apoy kaya binilisan kong tumakbo pabalik sa exit nang mapagtantong sarado ito. Fuck!

Mabilis akong naghanap nang pwedeng malulusutan at nakita ko naman ang emergency exit na papunta sa rooftop. Dali-dali ko iyong tinakbo at inakyat. Kitang-kita ko sa ilalim ang mga bumbero na papasok na sa loob nang building. Nang makalabas na ako sa rooftop ay umubo-ubo muna ako mula sa usok na nalanghap ko kanina pa.

Kita ko ang distansya nang Andromeda Building mula dito sa Corvus Science Building na nasusunog. Hindi ito magkalayo dahil isang alley way lang ang pagitan nang dalawang building.

It looks like I've got no other choice.

[Harris' POV]

"Drei! Drei!" It looks like he heard my call but refused to look back. He was running towards the Corvus Science Building and I think I know what he's going to do.

He entered the building without hesitation. I followed him right after I heard the sound of the firemen's truck. I ran inside the building up to the third floor were the fire was starting to destroy about half of the floor. I was running along the hallway when I came across a dead student lying on the floor. Blood was running down from his neck.
