Chapter 25 - New Administration

"As you can see, in a span of 1 month, the school has obtained a more enhanced structure. We were able to repair some damages caused by some certain events during the past years." Director Traditore explained while we were walking with him around the campus. He was showing us the developments made by the school. "You may doubt this improvements we made. But I assure you that the materials and composition within these pillars are highly standard and has been ordered from abroad. For example..."

Inutusan niya ang isang staff na mag dala nang isang block ng sementong ginamit nila. Sa unang tingin masasabi mong ordinaryong bloke ng semento lang ito pero nang binigyan si Director nang M16 Rifle ay na alarma kami pero kuha naman namin kung ano ang gagawin niya.

Pinaatras kami nang mga guards at nang paputukan iyon ni Director ay kitang kita mo ang bloke na hindi man lang nagkaroon nang tipak at butas. Cool. Nang maubos ang bala ng Rifle ay binigay niya naman iyon pabalik sa staff.

"As what you have seen, this concrete is no ordinary." nagpatuloy siya sa paglalakad at sinusundan lang siya nang mga teachers, staff at ng mga admins. Sunod naman ang mga parents and students.

Nang makarating kami sa may Green House Katabi noon ay ang mga nakahilerang puno. May malawak na pathway pero di namin kita kung ano ang nasa dulo nito.

"And for your satisfaction," patuloy pa rin sa paglalakad si Director. "I am proud to present the ultimate project of the school for this year...The Sky City!"

Pagkasabi niya noon ay bumungad sa amin ang napakalawak at napakagarang mga gusaling nagtatayuan. May mga mga tindahan, boutiques, food stalls and other premises. Isa lang ang masasabi ko. Wow. Just wow.

How did they even manage to build such huge and wide structures in just a single month? Not a year not a decade but a single fucking month. Is this how powerful this school is? No wonder it has been renowned even outside the Philippines.

"This is one of the many ways to show you transparency with our school funds and administration. We want to show you that your support and expectations were not put in vain. And now, as the New Principal and in behalf of the school administration, I declare that the Sky City is now officially open." masigabong palakpakan ang ibinigay kay Director. He took a step aside to let the students enter the enormous city.

"Now my standards and expectations were somehow reached." sabi ni papa sa likuran namin ni kuya. "Not just reached, it stood out." sabi ni mama habang magkahawak kamay sila, nagikot-ikot naman kami dito.

This place is like a city, only reduced to fit in this school campus. There are tons of shops, and even malls. There was a veterinary clinic, laundry shop and souvenir shops. Can't even imagine how this was possible.

Since we're already here, we decided to have a snack in one of those fancy resto. I decided to go to the rest room to pee. I was washing my hands when someone tapped me from the back. I turned around to see...

"Tita Sandra" medyo nabigla naman ako pero hindi ko nalang pinahalata.

"Are you a student from here too?" tanong niya sa akin at tumango naman ako.

"Well then it's great! Hope you have a good time here with our Thunder." Nandito na naman si konsensya. Nakangisi na naman sa akin. Haay. Ayoko talagang magsinungaling sa kanila!

"By the way, if you're here, then maybe your parents are also here?" Uh oh. Di pwede! Di nila alam! At mas lalong di pwede nilang malaman! Damn wrong timing!

"Uhm---"

"Mommyyy! Come on! The food is waiting!" sigaw ni Thyler mula sa labas ng women's CR. Thank God for Thyler. He just saved my ass.

"Oh, sorry Raven, I gotta go. Bye! See you anytime." she gave me a warm smile. My conscience is killing me again for hundreth time.

Nang makabalik ako sa table namin ay naguusap silang tatlo. Haay nakaka-miss talagang makita ang ganitong senaryo sa pamilya namin. Bukod sa palagi silang busy, wala na talagang time para mag kasabay kahit sa pagkain man lang.

"Baby, after this---"

"You have to go?" I cut her off.

"I'm sorry." sabay hawak niya sa kamay kong nakahawak rin sa tinidor.

"It's okay mom. Atleast you were able to visit and bond with us." I assured her and she smiled.

"I'm sure she clearly understands it ma. Besides Raven is a big girl. Kaya na niya sarili niya." suporta naman ni kuya sa akin. Akala ko may pahabol pa siyang kabulastugan.

*Phone Rings*

"Excuse me po." I excused myself to answer the call.

"Where the fuck are you?" from his husky voice to the tonality of it I'm sure it's him.

"I thought I told you about the meeting?" Oh shit! I forgot!
