Chapter 33 - Personal Nurse

Thunder's POV

I was driving along the highway to the Alpha Phi Omega's Headquarters when I started to feel dizzy. Shit. My eyes are getting heavy.

*Phone Rings*

Do you know what's worth fighting for?

When it's not worth dying for

And you feel yourself suffocating

Fuck this ringtone. I answered it to find Cody calling.

"H-hello?"

"Dude, saan ka ngayon?" tanong niya.

"I-I'm on my w-way t-to the Alpha P-phi Omega h-headquarters." nauutal kong sagot. I can't remember taking up sleeping pills. But why do I feel sleepy right now?

"Dude stop the car!" rinig kong sigaw ni Jordan sa kabilang linya.

"asfghjkl@!#$%&*^??"

I feel sleepy. I don't understand a word they are saying. Everything around me is turning. I think I'm going to vomit. Oohh.....

*5 hours later*

"Ano ba kasing nangyari?!" sigaw nang pamilyar na boses.

"We don't know okay? We were calling him and the next thing we knew a crash was heard from the other line."

"Sshh. He's awake."

I slowly opened my eyes to see everyone crowding around the bed. I still feel dizzy but it's already better than before. I have no idea where I am laying and no idea how I got here.

"I'm not yet dead idiots. Don't give me those looks." sabi ko sa kanila nang makita ang mga mukha nilang nag-aalala. Tss. I'm still alive.

"Sa susunod kasi wag kang tatanga-tanga." napalingon ako sa nagsalita at nakita ko siyang naka upo sa may upuan sa gilid ng mesa.

"Hindi ako tanga. Alam kong may kung anong medisina ang nakalagay sa panyo. I wasn't expecting though na tatalaban ako nang epekto nito sa kasagsagan nang pagmamaneho ko." sagot ko naman sa kanyang litanya. She must've read the box then. Ha!

"So you mean alam mo na pala all this time?" Tanong ni Jordan sa akin.

"Of course, I recognized that drug by it's scent. It was Cyanide. A kind of chemical used to poison a person either by eating, drinking, touching or even breathing. In my case it can be through touch or breath though I'm not yet sure why someone would do that, but the symptoms are evident. Headache, weakening of the body, nausea, breathing difficulties and some seizures."

"Don't worry we've sent our personal doctor here to give you the antiserum you need. All you have to do is relax." Zariya said while walking out of the room.

"Well then it's settled. Isabelle and Tiara, you're the ones to buy our food. Brenda, you'll be the watcher for today to monitor the base, you, boys can help if you have the mercy to do so and you Raven, stay here with our President." pag uutos ni Alexis sa kanila.

"What? No. I have important things to attend to." ambang tatayo na siya at lalakad palabas nang hinarangan siya nang kanyang mga kaibigan. May ibinulong sila nito at mukhang napabago nila ang isip niya.

"Damn you." She sent some defeated looks on her friends and went to sit again on the chair beside the table.

Nakalabas na ang lahat mula sa silid na ito at ang naiwan na lang ay ako at ang uwak na ito. Hinilig niya ang ulo niya sa pader nang kwarto at ipinikit ang kanyang mga mata. This girl sure looks angelic and peaceful on the outside yet so dangerous and demonic on the inside.

"What did she whisper to you?"

"She said it's time for me to payback your generosity in returning my lost Locket."

"If that's the case, then slice me some apples." I smirked at her. "If you really want to thank me for my hospitality then slice those apples." turo ko sa isang basket nang mga mansanas.

Wala siyang nagawa kundi gawin ang utos ko. After all, siya rin naman ang dahilan kung ba't ako naaksidente. Kung hindi niya ako pinagmadaling pumunta dito sa base nila edi sana hindi ako na disgrasya. Pano kasi, tumawag daw si mom at hindi niya alam kung ano ang gagawin. Ibang klase rin, hindi siya takot makipagaway pero takot siyang sumagot nang tawag. Tss.

*Phone Call*

Nakita kong may tumatawag sa kanya kaya agad kong hinablot ang cellphone niyang nakalagay lang sa side table.

Isabelle calling...

"Hoy babae anong gusto mong kainin? Tanungin mo na lang rin yang prince charming mo para nama---"

"Belle" pagputol ko sa sasabihin pa niya. Halatang natulala naman siya sa kabilang linya na parang di inaasahan na ako ang sasagot sa tawag.

"Hoy kulog, akin na nga yang phone ko! bilis!" sabi naman nang uwak na ito sa harapan ko. She's reaching for her phone but I refuse to give in so I gestured my hand to stop her from blabbering.

"Th-Thunder? Ikaw pala hahaha sige bye." Hindi pa ako nakapag salita ay pinutol na niya ang tawag.

"Give me my apples nurse, I'm dying to eat." reklamo ko at marahas naman niyang binato ang na slice na niyang apple. I caught it with my bare hand easily.

"Tss. Jerk." komento niya.

"Why do you always hate me woman?" I asked her out of nowhere. "It's not like I did something mean to you right?" ngiti-ngiti kong sabi habang kinakagat ang mansanas para mainis pa lalo ang babaeng ito.

"You wanna know? I hate your guts, your arrogance, your attitude, I hate every part of you." She frankly said.

"Well, the feeling is mutual. But don't worry, when everything is over, you're free to go." sagot ko naman sa kanya habang sinasalo ang binabato niyang mga mansanas.

Kawawa naman kayong mga mansanas, binabato na lang kung saan-saan nang babaeng ito. Buti na lang at nandito ako para saluhin at kainin kayo.

"Then why'd you even signed that damn deal with me?" tanong niya habang umupo sa gilid nang kama. Pinikit ko naman ang mga mata ko at humilig sa headboard.

"Like what I told you, I benefit from it and so are you so bear with it." sabi ko. I won't even propose that deal if it weren't for some old, shitty tradition.

"I'm pretty sure there's something more to that." I opened my eyes only to find her face a few inches away from mine. We were staring at each other, she was smirking and the next thing I knew she snatched the phone from my hand. Nice move woman.

"Thank you though...for returning the Locket. I've been dying to find it."

Mga huli niyang kataga bago siya lumabas nang kwarto.
