Chapter 37 - A Discovery

Raven's POV

"Pero young lady, pinagbawalan ako nang ama niyo na ibigay ang susi nang kwartong iyon kapag walang pahintulot mula sa kanya." pag-aalinlangang sabi ng keeper.

"Hindi naman siguro siya magagalit kung malalaman niyang ako ang pumasok roon. Wag kang mag-alala ipagbibigay alam ko agad sa kanya." sabay hablot ko nang susi sa kanyang kamay.

"Basta po ibalik niyo lang sa akin ang susi. Mahal ko pa po ang trabaho ko." nagpakawala siya nang buntong-hininga bago yumuko at umalis.

Naririto ako ngayon sa Pierre Mansion. Ako na mismo ang maghahanap nang mga ebidensyang magpapatunay sa teoryang namumuo sa isipan ko. Nang makapasok sa silid ay agad kong isinara ang pinto at binuksan ang ilaw nang silid. Wala pa ring pinagbago ang ayos nang mga gamit dito. Binasa ko ang nakaukit sa nameplate na nakapatong sa mesa.

Napangiwi na lang ako. Those royal names really suck. Kumuha rin ako nang libro mula sa shelf dito at binasa iyon. These were some books written by grandpa himself. Mahilig siyang magsulat at marami na siyang na publish na mga libro. Some where about economics, politics, and others were beliefs and traditions. He is really a brilliant man.

I was about to return the book when a mysterious yellow button caught my eye. It was hidden on the shelf behind the book that I just read. I unconsciously pressed the button and to my surprise, the whole shelf of books gave way to reveal a secret vault. A vault?

The vault was locked with a code. Code. What could it possibly be? Since I've got no hell of an idea what the code might be, I took a tiny chalk from the shelf and carefully scraped it till it pulverized. I then took the powder and with enough distance I blew it towards the vault revealing the thumb marks left on the buttons.

Yes!

I didn't knew it would still work even if years had passed from the last day it has been opened. I quickly pressed the code and the vault opened revealing another book and a single envelope. I took it all out and placed those on my bag. I also returned everything to the way it was and then went out of the room. I gave the keys to the keeper and told him to shut his mouth or else he will lose his precious job.

Tsk. Pasensya ka na pero kailangan ko talaga ang mga ito. Madali akong nakarating sa base namin. Binati naman ako nang mga nag-eensayo doon at saka dumiretso sa office ko. Nilatag ko na lahat nang nakuha ko mula sa lumang bahay, mga dokumentong nakalap at ang panibagong idadagdag ko sa aking koleksyon.

Binuksan ko ang librong nakuha ko sa vault at napag-alamang journal pala iyon ni lolo. Nakapaloob doon ang mga pangyayari sa kanyang buhay mula pagkabata, pagkabinata, pagkikita nila ni lola at iba pang mga nangyari matapos noon. Nang mapagtanto kong blangko ang ilang mga pahina ay dumiretso ako sa medyo dulong bahagi nito.

The Valkyrie Pact is one of the underground society's proud assets. This is a group of women with unfailing skills in combat and inevitable minds in Science and medication. They were the only women considered to be one of the strongest in the underground society. Most of it's members come from the wealthy tycoons. Though others cannot accept the fact that these women can be more powerful than them.

Sadly, these ladies were silently killed for an undefinable reason and with that, the underground society has been in chaos. Our business transactors from different countries are slowly loosing their trust, afraid that the killings might affect the business in the black market.
