Chapter 48 - Director Traditore

Raven's POV

Ramdam ko ang malamig na buga nang aircon sa kwartong kinalalagyan ko. Masakit rin ang aking ulo at medyo nararamdaman ko pa ang pagkahilo. Pilit kong inaalala ang nangyari at oo nga, kinuha pala ako nang walang hiyang Synod na iyon. Igagalaw ko na sana ang aking mga kamay nang mapansing nakaposas pala akong sa kama. Damn.

Where am I?

What do they fucking want from me?

Biglang bumukas ang pinto nang silid at pumasok ang taong hindi ko inaasahan na makikita dito sa mga oras na ito. Director Traditore. Tahimik siyang umupo sa kaharap kong sofa at kalmado akong tinitigan na para bang may malalim siyang iniisip.

"Good Morning ms. Albreck." says the man who deceived and made us believe his pretty lies of keeping the students and everybody within the Night Sky Community safe and unharmed. He entered the room carrying a tray of food in his arms.

"What's good with the morning?" I answered sarcastically.

"Before you throw tantrums and kill me with your deadly stares, eat first." he placed the tray on the bedside table and unlocked the handcuff on my hand. I ignored the food. Seeing my action, he fell silent and somehow between the line, I felt his expression changed.

"I'm sorry." he suddenly said. Huh as if you can brainwash me with your shitty reasons.

"I don't need your sorry. You can eat that apology of yours." I scornfully said and again he fell silent. Just then the door of the room opened and a man in black came in.

"Sir, we now have a hold of the school. The students were gathered and we have started the vaccination process."

"The what process?!" galit kong sabi sa lalaki pero hindi man lang niya ako binigyang pansin. The students were trapped and these men are feeding them with drugs. For what? To turn them against us? Fuck that.

"I also discovered that the school's student government were able to escape along with some other students." Hearing those words gave me a ray of hope for my friends. It gives me relief knowing that they are safe and courage at the same time.

"Ok, thanks for the update." sabi nang lalaking kausap ko kanina. Bumaling siya sa akin.

"You know ms. Albreck, you are a strong and brave woman. Many students back at Night Sky Academy admire your coolness and intelligence. But just so you know, the world doesn't end even if you die. It may pause for some, but it'll always continue to move. And with every moment in every hour that passes by, is a time for you to ponder on the things that made you who you are and who you may become. There's more than just the things around you, Raven. Think back, reflect, then act. For once, Take this as an advise from your School Director." he stood up leaving me with the words he just said.

"Why?" I asked before he could even turn open the doorknob.

"Things take time but for you to find the answer, stay alive."

His piece of advice was the only thing that kept me thinking the whole day. They abducted me to kill me. Why would a treacherous man like him tell me to 'stay alive'? What is it with his words of wisdom? Why do I feel like a deep message is encrypted within those lines? Why do I feel like he just touched that incomplete part of me?

The day went on with me being locked up inside this room and not being able to go out. For the first time in my life, I felt weak. The fact that I could hardly defend myself from these bastards is making me frustrated. Maybe from the drug they used against me or anything but it didn't prevent my mind from visualizing a plan to escape. All I need is the right time to do my stratagem.

No one knew where I might have been, not even the girls, the boys nor my family. All I have now is myself and if I won't do anything then, I might end up a dead meat.
