Day 1: France

We are staying in a decently large hotel for six and a half days in France. It's kinda like a dream. Addie saw the Eiffel Tower for the first time. She loved it!

We landed a few hours ago

We landed a few hours ago. It's already dark,so we are going to eat then back to our cool hotel. I have been bombarding Addie and Darren with facts about France for hours. I'm pretty sure I might have to sleep outside now.

Addie still has "jet lag" so she is staying in the room while Darren and I go for a walk

Addie still has "jet lag" so she is staying in the room while Darren and I go for a walk. I feel so at home here. It's like I was meant to be here. I know that can't be. I was born for New York, and I would never give up on New York. It is tempting though.

Day 2: France

Addie is feeling better today. We talked a lot last night. I think I helped. I hope I helped. I know why Paris is called the city of love now. Like any great love, it keeps you guessing. Like any real love it's ever changing. Like any like any true love, it drives you crazy, but you know you wouldn't have it any other way.

So for today, Kurt planned for us to meet a tour guide and go to a large village thing. It must be amazing or Kurt wouldn't waste our time. How can you waste time in France?

I think on the last day I'm going to send Anthony some bread. Will it stay good? Who knows. Maybe that isn't a good idea.

The village where Kurt sent us was beautiful. After Addie and I talked last night she feels much better. She laughed and sang with us. Either she is feeling much better, or she's a better actress than I thought.

We decided to put Darren in the adjoining room next to ours. I need to be with Addie. This is our trip. Our journey we've worked so hard to get to. Darren whines about not being able to stay in the same room as me, but he'll get over it.

Day 3: France

Today we are going to eat at a fancy French cafe called, "Táme." Apparently it's the French version of Tiffany's.

The bread at this cafe is amazing! Addie and I probably ate two pounds together.

Tonight is the night we see "Les Mis." I find it ironic that we're seeing Les Mis in France. Our tour guide never showed up so we decided to go out on our own.

THE SHOW WAS AMAZING!!!!!! I felt like the performers really embodied their characters well. Addie and I cried countless times. No, we are not emotional, Darren cried too. I hate to admit it, but it might be better in France than New York.

French news is funny because Addie doesn't understand what they're saying so I translate it for her.

Day 4: France

Have you ever been to the top of the Eiffel Tower? It's beautiful. Addie took countless pictures.

I think I finally understand my mothers deep love for this place

I think I finally understand my mothers deep love for this place. The music, the lights, the people, she loved it all. I don't blame her. I think I finally see the light.

Day 5: France

We ran into one of the actors from last nights show. Mr. John Sałon. He played Marius. Addie swooned a little, but kept her cool. What is her thing with French people? The world may never know.

Kurt assigned us another tour guide. She led us around in her horse carriage. Addie pet the horse for like twenty minutes. Poor horse.

The lady talked forever

The lady talked forever. We only saw a few churches and a museum, but I was in France with my friends. Not too shabby.

Addie wants me to write less and hang out more. So, I better put this down. Right.

Now.

Day 6: France

I waved to France as we boarded the plane. Addie sighed really heavily and fell asleep almost instantly. Darren has been unusually quiet...OH WELL.
