"Charlotte!"
A warning voice calls for me. I yawn and sit up from the circle stage.
Katie stands over me.
"Katie leave me alone I'm napping."
Wait a sec.
I bolt up.
I spin around in a circle.
Katie stands in front of me.
Next to her is Kaydance, my dad, my mom, Daveed, and a shorter man with a hoodie pulled over his head.
They say nothing.
"...the hell?"
Rain outside the auditorium pounded on the roof.
I say nothing as well.
The man in the hoodie pulls his hoodie up.
"D!"
"What?!"
I jolt awake, hitting heads with Darren.
He falls backwards, almost knocking over a table.
"Oh my God are you-"
He laughs hysterically, doubling over on the floor.
I glance over the end of my bed.
D is curled up in a ball of laughter on my floor.
"D are you ok..."
He wheezes.
"Do I need to call someone?"
He clutches his stomach and shakes his head, struggling to breathe.
I snort.
My hand flies to my mouth, muffling the insane laughter flooding the room.
After almost ten minutes of nonstop laughter, D sits on the bed next to me.
"You good now?"
I shrug.
"Cheeks hurt now, but that's it."
He laughs softly.
"No. Before that."
I glance at him.
"What do you mean?"
I begin to notice he is wearing the same hoodie.
"You yelled for me."
I laughed sarcastically.
"Yeah I was asking you in here."
He scoffs.
"Charlie, you were sleeping."
I shrug again.
D sighs and stands up, offering me his hand.
"Come on. Let's get Wings before we head out."
I smile and take his hand.
