❀ Selena ❀

My mind started to drift awake when someone tapped my forehead. My eyes quickly looked up to see Taylor waving her hand in front of my face. There was a type of pain and throbbing in my head. My stomach felt tight too as if someone was gripping on it.

"Why is everything so tight?" I asked Taylor quietly since raising my voice would just give me a headache.

"Dylan is kinda clinging on you, so I wouldn't really advise you to move." Taylor sounded out before I slightly remembered what happened last night, but everything was blurry in my perspective. I tried to escape from his hold, my head was throbbing. "Selena, I told you not to move."

Dylan started to stir giving me an oppurtunity to move. Yes! Taylor gave me sunglasses just in case the sun would accidentaly hit my eyes, it was sunrise right? I started going out the door leaving Dylan behind. I had my reasons.

Taylor followed close behind me. "Wait, why are you leaving? Is Dylan gonna be suspicious to where you are?"

Everything was so loud. "Shhhh... You're speaking so loud."

"Selena, I think you should go rest with Dylan." Taylor whispered a few feet away from me so it could be the perfect pitch that would let my ears ring calmly.

"No."

"No? Why not?"

I took off my sunglasses to see her face. "I slipped out of my mouth that I liked him."

"What's wrong with that? He said he--"

"He did not say anything!" I spatted out in a mean way since I did he didn't say anything after I told him that.

Taylor gave a heavy sigh. "He said right after you said, I like you... He said he liked you too."

"He did!?" I exclaimed before forgetting that I had a headache.

She nodded. "Yeah, didn't you guys ever realize that you might like each other?"

I shook my head no. "I thought he always liked Britt." We walked into the breakfast hall to find a few people there. A few people I didn't want to see at all.

"Selena, guys aren't always the same."

"You never know."

"I actually know..." Taylor mentioned for the series of guys that she fell hopelessly romantic for. I couldn't blame her, they were all good guys and she needed to fine her special someone. "But you won't ever know until you give that someone a chance. Selena, you kind of have to erase the past to let the present and future come in."

I looked at the people emerging behind us to look out for Dylan. "What if it turns out to be an epic fail?"

"That's why you have to take a chance on it."

"What if he says he loves me?" I asked her mixed with suspense and fear. It wasn't because I was scared of love, it was because I was scared of falling in love. It can make you feel such a mix of emotions and it's just so hard to take in.

We headed to the nearest table that had the view of the beach. "Hey. Take a chance... We have three more weeks here. Senior year is about to come by."

"You mentioning that gives me more fear of the amount of time I have."

She sighed a heavy sigh again, I swear she was starting to get annoyed by me. "If only I could write a song about this whole love story."

"I think I should talk to Dylan." I said before Taylor nodded off.

I was too focused on my problems that I forgot that I had a headache, oh well. I was a stubborn girl. I slowly walked to the girls pent house where I left Dylan. I kinda felt bad, but I just knew I need to do something about this whole scherade.

I squeezed the knob and opened it. I tip toed right next to my bed where Dylan was just sleeping. He squeezed the pillow like he squeezed me. I went down on my knees and just stared at Dylan. He was like a little baby. So cute! "I wish you'll understand cause I really hope this will work."

"What will work?" Dylan mumbled causing me to jump in an instant. He didn't open his eyes, but he placed his hand in the side of my face I leaned on to it. He finally opened his eyes to give me a smile. "Come here."

I stood up and slept next to Dylan. I face him and slipped my head under the crook of his arm.

"How was your sleep?" He asked. I snuggled closer to him cause he felt nice and warm. "Was it good?" I nodded my head. "Does your head hurt?" I nodded. "Do you want me to be quiet?" I nodded the third time. "Did you mean it when you said you liked me too?"

It took me a moment to answer him since I don't know if he liked me too. Ugh. I nodded to his question to reveal the feelings I have for him.

"You wanna know something?" He asked. "I like you too." Dylan lastly said before he kissed my head.

I clinged onto him even closer than I was while he hugged me tighter. I don't know why, but I just felt safe and sound in his arms even though he was a little fragile and skinny himself.

I don't know what'll happen to both of us, but I hope it'll be alright.
