After school was over, Cas drove himself home, small tears falling down his cheeks. He knew that it was a stupid thing to be upset about, but he had really wanted to go to prom with Sam.

He got home and got out with his booksack and went inside, heading straight to his room, not bothering to eat even though he was hungry.

No, he wasn't suicidal again and nor was he depressed. He was just very upset.

He threw his bag on the floor and got in his bed, curling up on his side. He sniffled and wiped a couple of his tears as he laid there, thinking. He sighed and closed his eyes, falling asleep after a couple of minutes.

Cas was woken up to a small, steady tapping on his window. He groaned softly and checked the time. 7:48...WHAT IS THAT FUCKING SOUND?! He thought, getting out of his bed to go check his window. He opened it and had to duck as a small rock was coming his way.

"Sorry!"

He looked out the window, getting ready to yell when he noticed something written in his grass.

PROM?

He looked around and noticed Sam with a hopeful look on his face. He bit his lip and moved away from the window. He ran downstairs and opened the door. He ran to Sam and jumped into his arms. "Yes!"

Sam smiled and held Cas close as he kissed him on the lips.

Cas smiled into the kiss, but pulled away after a few seconds. "I should slap you right now."

"Why? What'd I do now?"

"You really had me believing that you didn't want to go to prom! I was actually heartbroken and cried over this!"

Sam gently placed his hand on the back of Cas' head and pulled him into a deep kiss. "I'm sorry," he said softly once they pulled away. "I just wanted to try to surprise you. I didn't mean to make you cry."

"I forgive you," Cas said softly, smiling. He wrapped his arms around Sam's neck and nuzzled his neck. He glanced over Sam's shoulder and smiled at the grass. "What is that?"

"Glow in the dark paint. I got the idea from that time we were messing with paint."

Cas blushed and gently kissed his neck. "We made purple that day."

Sam laughed. "That we did."

After a little while, Cas let go of Sam and they cleaned up the paint. When that was done, Sam handed Cas a bouquet of roses and they went inside, both excited for Friday. Cas couldn't wait to show off his boyfriend and Sam couldn't wait for their after party that he knew they would have together.
