Backstory: She was homeless but doesn't find out how/why until second book

Personality: Funny, compassionate, overly confident, short tempered, impatient

Looks: Average height, green eyes, just below shoulder length wavy, messy ginger hair, freckles, crooked teeth

Likes: Talking, having people around her, danger

Dislikes: Teacher's pets, anyone who hurts her or her friends, people who whine

Strengths: Persuading people to do things, clever, mental strength

Weaknesses: Lying, physical strength, leading, short tempered

Friends: the marauders, Lily Evans, Marlene McKinnon, Mary MacDonald, Dorcas Meadowes, most others in her house, Mollie Flett (OC)

Enemies: Primarily Severus Snape and anyone who hurts her or her friends

The first thing I picked up on is her last name. It's not necessarily a bad thing to be related to Harry Potter, but be wary that this is really cliche.
Overall this OC isn't so bad. Her traits match up with the Gryffindor house and she has a good balance of flaws and strengths.
It doesn't make sense that she's a 11-12 year old that's homeless. Maybe explain why she isn't in an orphanage. Her enemies could be varied, and it would be nice if we knew why they are her enemies.
Also, the dislike "hates anyone who hurts her or her friends" is becoming overused, so be careful throwing that out there.

I really like the fact that she likes danger and that she has weaknesses based off who she is. Often OCs have flaws that say they're "too loyal" or they only have a couple of problems. Clara Potter has many flaws that balance out the good in her.

I give her a 7/10. She's a good character, but could use a little work.
