Let's Talk Fanfiction!! {Closed}

Seriously, though.

I hate going through lists of stories, ESPECIALLY FANFICTION, and no one has bothered to take their works seriously.
Or they actually think the bullshit they typed was talent.
That's not talent. That's mushing incorrect words together and putting a lot of action in it.

I'm not the greatest at English speak, either, but I can't fathom how in holy hell we got this bad.
Who told kids it was okay to write like this? Who said this would make you a better author? Trust me as a reader, it doesn't. It makes my face scrunch up in disgust because I can't believe Wattpad even allows this on here.

But then again, it's the same app that allows nonconsensual sex and promotes the carbon copy love stories on here.

If you write like this, this is my warning to tell you to stop. I'm not a flamer. I'm not a spammer. I'm a reviewer. And if I come across your story, you can sure as hell bet I'll mention something about it.

Maybe THAT'S why we've gotten so terrible. People forgot they had an opinion on stuff like this. They're called cyber bullies and haters and all this other stuff, but Wattpad was originally made to help authors.
That means you're going to get negative comments.
That means we should, as fellow writers, be allowed to criticize and help out one another grow.
That doesn't mean cuss out or blatantly insult the person writing the way I just wrote.
It means telling them what you liked and what could've been better.

Because everyone likes feedback, right? Especially positive feedback. Or you could be like me and wish someone would tell you your mistakes because you know they're there. But you're not the reader, so you don't know if it's actually good or not.

That's it. These past couple of rants have been short and I'm sorry about that. School starts next week, meaning shorter and probably less updates.
Also...we've almost hit 3k. And I'm no where close to finishing my 2k+50 chaps+whatever else dedication.

Frick.

Oh well.
