We'd ended up not going to Mark's, we had timed it badly with his Pax trip. He, Sean, and Felix were all going to Pax in New York this year, which was a surprise, they usually never had Pax in New York, it was usually in California or Florida. "Are you sure it's alright, I mean, it's really expensive to come to California all the way from London, we can go to the next Pax, hell, there's even a Vidcon coming up in a couple of months. We can reschedule." But I'd insisted on the fact that they go, they already had everything planned out, the extra videos made, I didn't want to be an inconvenience. And as if though to make it up to us, which might actually turn out be helpful, he gave us Ethan's number, and told us he would warn him for us.
"What do you wanna do today?" The question was directed towards me, we were laying on our bed, bored as can be. It was already noon and we hadn't done anything but have lunch early, brunch as most would call it, but we called it breakfast as our little joke. We got up late. Shrugging, I rolled over into his side, nestling in before he could get another word out. He smiled and wrapped an arm around me, and tickled my side softly. "Oh come on, answer me." I stuck out my tongue, Winnie was still asleep, so I didn't want to get up, or make any noise that had the slightest chance of waking her up. She needed her sleep, us more than her it seemed at times. "If I don't get an answer in three seconds, I'll mercilessly tickle you, Daniel."
Scoffing, I pushed him away gently. "We could call up Ethan? I mean, I don't want to annoy him if he's gonna be busy today, but we have nothing specially planned. Disneyland is the day after tomorrow, so we know what we're doing Saturday, but today and tomorrow are free, as far as I can see. And aren't plans /your/ thing, Lester?" I kicked him gently under the duvet, smiling as he gave a mock hurt expression towards me, putting a hand over his heart. "Oh stop it, you're a 30 year old man, stop acting like a little school boy that got his feelings hurt over something stupid." I nestled back into his side, stretching a bit, before curling back up into a tiny ball, the feeling of his warmth helping me drift back to sleep, but he shook me.
"Look, we were inside all day yesterday, and Winnie is obviously bored. I'm gonna text Ethan soon, and if he wants, I'll call him. We'll try and make plans, and go over there, okay?" I nodded, more than happy to agree with Phil. "Good, now get up, and get dressed." He leaned over and grabbed his phone, not even noticing as I rolled out of his arms, pouting. Yawning, I sat up from our shared bed, before getting up and going towards the bags we still hadn't unpacked since we'd arrived. Sometimes we didn't even see the point in unpacking. "Oh! He already responded, he said we can come over! He gave us directions and - wow. That was fairly simply, I guess people really /are/ more finicky about their alone time in Europe." Sending me another surprised expression, he eventually got out of bed himself, in nothing but his boxers, and even though we'd been married for a few years, it still had me blushing horribly. "Go and get Winnie up, okay?" He walked over and pecked my cheek, and I nodded quickly, blushing.
Watching the way he smiled and shook his head at me, I could only giggle like a lovesick school girl as he went to the shower that was in our room, allowing me to take a deep breath and regain my composure, that is, until I saw that Winnie had somehow made her way onto our bed, and was smiling at me. Tipping my head, I wondered what she was smiling about. "Do you think I'll ever be in love like you guys are?" And that warmed my heart, and I nodded, taking her into my arms, her light eyes sparkling as she looked straight into my eyes. "Really?"
"I believe there is the perfect person for you out there, little cub, and you two may even be more lovey dovey than the two of us!" She gasped, covering her mouth, and the giggles that were seemingly escaping, and I just shook my head, pecking her forehead. "Goodmorning, you goofball. Let's go get you dressed, hmm? And then we'll get some breakfast, how does Perkins sound?" She nodded happily, allowing me to carry her to her room, she'd been feeling brave, and got her own room. Of course we got a room with 3 beds, but her room was separate from ours, a rare kind of setup for hotel rooms. "We're going over to someone's house today, sweet pea, his name is Ethan. And he's a very good friend of Uncle Mark." Tipping her head, she was a bit curious, I knew that, but she kept quiet. She knew she would see who he was in awhile.
