Phil wasn't there when I woke up and I may or may not have freaked out a little bit, but then I remembered him saying that he was going to get Winnie when he woke up, I'm pretty sure she was still at Eve's, I hadn't meant to have her stay over there for so long, only a day or two, but it seemed more like a week. Rolling around the bed a bit I let out a sigh, the realisation hit me just now that I'd have to get up and feed myself, Phil wasn't here to bring me food or help me to get dressed, or simply grab my phone because I swear it's way too far away to grab. But of course, he did it every time, he rarely ever said no to me, or he said it, but he was never able to stay true to it, he eventually gave in. "We have to be quiet, sweetie, papa's still asleep, okay?"

I heard her agree happily, though I knew she was probably still sleepy herself, Phil tended to get up earlier than needed, I really didn't know how he always did it. Running my fingers through my tousled curls I let out another sigh, I might as well let them know that I was awake, so they didn't have to tiptoe around and try their best to keep quiet and eventually fail or break something, or themselves. "I'm still waiting for my breakfast!" Waiting for a moment, I knew they'd probably froze with the thought that they woke me up, I heard the heavy steps of Phil making his way to the kitchen, cupboards opening, the fridge slamming shut. Winnie had began to scurry around as well, probably not understanding what was going on, she wasn't really up this early, ever, well not for awhile, so she didn't know me and Phil's routine.

"You were up pretty late last night, I thought you'd sleep until at least noon." He sounded apologetic as he brought me some toast with jam, and a glass of OJ, a smile on his lips as he set it beside me, pressing his lips against my forehead. "But goodmorning, nonetheless." With a smile on my own face, he brought my hand up to his lips and kissed my knuckles lightly, he knew it was cheesy, but he also knew that I didn't care. "Now eat up, Winnie's missed her papa pretty bad, but she knows you need to eat before you talk." Pushing the small tray he'd gotten for me, he nodded, standing back up. "And I may or may not have something special planned for tonight." Those ocean eyes of his were twinkling, he had something up his sleeve for sure.

Was there something special about today? Without really giving it a second thought, I began to nom on my toast, watching as Phil scampered back out of the room, giggling with Winnie as if though they had plans I weren't to know about. Winnie was better at keeping secrets than Phil would ever be, so I didn't think it'd be too long until I was told, by accident or not. When I finally finished up, I felt well enough to stand again, though what was the point of getting dressed already? Walking out into the living room I saw Phil grinning, a little bit to big. What exactly were they planning? But I didn't say anything, just went on my way. I needed my daily tea, that was a must have in the morning. "Hey, papa?" Giving a tiny yelp, seriously, at times I'd considered putting a bell on the kid, she was too good at sneaking up on people, even if she didn't mean to, or wasn't trying to scare anyone. "Isn't your favourite flower a rose?" What?

"Um -- yes, I really do like roses, why?" But she didn't answer me, just scampered off with a giggle, covering her mouth and vanishing from sight. Cheesily enough, roses had always been my favourite flower, red roses, that is. Red roses meant love, real love, they are what you gave to your lover to show them that you really cared, though I think cuddles and kisses worked much better than a bunch of flowers, but Phil liked getting me flowers. But why was he telling Winnie about my favourite flowers? "And where do you think you two are going now?" Putting my hands on my hips I stared them down, they'd just gotten home, why were they leaving me?

Phil ushered Winnie out the door, grinning at me before bouncing forward and pressing his lips against mine. "We'll be back before you know it, love you." I didn't even get to return his words before they were gone, and I was on my own again. Letting out a tiny huff, I puffed out my cheeks and grumbled, why did they always seem to be going somewhere? Making my tea, waiting for the water to brew and bubble, I leaned against the counter. Phil had said he had some plans tonight, the flowers, if he was planning just a date then I was going to flip a table, it had been awhile since we'd been on a date, but we couldn't really call it a date anymore now that we were married. Shaking my head I grabbed one of my favourite mugs, the black one, I don't know what you were thinking. The Hello Kitty one was in the dishwasher. Pouring some water into my cup, I got a tea bag and dipped it into my mug, watching as the colour turned from clear to a murky green, it really satisfies me, stuff like that.
