Forty-Six.

"Dan, we don't have to do this if you don't want to, there is always next year." He pressed his lips against mine reassuringly, smiling as he looked in my eyes. Those ocean eyes keeping me calm and my nerves settled. "I love you, and I'm willing to wait as long as you want for this to happen, alright?" We were renewing our wedding vows, after a couple years of being married, it just felt right. Resting my forehead against his, letting out a tiny sigh and shaking my head, I had agreed to his a few months ago, I was not about to back out now. "Alright, but if you want to back out at anytime, we'll stop everything, okay?" I nodded, smiling as I grabbed his hand and pecked his lips once more before pulling away, those ocean eyes sparkling with joy at me.

Daniel's Vows.

Phil, I have to say I never thought I'd be up here with you,

It always seemed like a dream to far off from reality to actually happen.

But I guess dreams really do come true.

You have always been my dream, and will always be my dream, no matter what.

I promise to love and support you, to always be by your side,

To never abandon you or replace you with another,

I will love you all the days of my life.

For better or for worse, sink or swim, do or die,

I will never leave you.

And though I've always said I wish life would've turned out differently,

I know that without everything that I'd gone through in life,

For if I had done one thing differently.

I might never have met you

I take you, as my best friend, as my comforter,

As my confidant and lover,

I take you to be my husband.

Till death do us part.

It'd be years since I'd said those vows, and they still brought tears to my eyes, and very obviously, Phil's eyes as well. He was smiling and weeping, a strange combination, but as long as I knew it was a good combination, I was not about to fight it. Now it was his vows, and if I remembered them as well as I thought I did, I knew I was going to be crying a lot more after.

Philip's Vows.

Dan, the second I laid my eyes on you, I knew I wanted to spend my entire life with you.

Something about you was different, and it excited me,

You made me happy when I never thought I'd be able to smile and laugh again.

You have been my light in the darkness I never thought I'd find my way out of.

I will always love you, all the days of my life I will love you.

I will never leave you, desert you, replace you,

For better or for worse, you will be my only love.

You have always been by my side as my best friend,

My confidant, my lover, and my happiness,

Now I want you to be by my side the rest of my life.

I take you as my husband,

Leaning forward, he pressed our lips together and giggled, breaking apart, tears running down my face without my consent. He panicked and tried his best to kiss away my tears, but he only made me laugh more, causing in more happy tears and causing in him more panic. But he had nothing to be panicked about, everything in my life seemed perfect in this moment. "I really do love you, Dan. I never want to live without you, alright? I always want you by my side." He placed his hands on my hips and flushed his body against mine, heartily pressing his lips to my own, and causing a couple of satisfied noises to pass through my muffled lips. I loved him.

Walking over to the camera that was recording us, I pressed pause and looked over at him. "I am so ready to see their reactions when we upload that -- eventually." I whispered, looking a bit upset as I tried not to look over at him, I knew he wanted to post it right away, he had no issue telling the world of our relationship, our marriage, that we had a child. But something was just holding me back, keeping me from doing what he wanted. It's not that I didn't love him enough to want to tell everyone on planet Earth, but something from my past just didn't let me build up enough courage. He rested his hands on my hips, coming up from behind and pressing a kiss to my neck. "One day?" I whispered, looking over at him with a hopeful look.

He smiled and nodded, no anger in his eyes, tone, or expression. "One day, Daniel. One day."
