"Happy Birthday, little cub." Kissing the top of her forehead, I could barely believe that she is 7 years old, it only seemed like yesterday she was turning 4. "Someone special is coming, we're gonna go out and celebrate with them. But you haven't met them yet." I quickly spurt out the last sentence, as she'd opened her mouth as was going to start guessing. "But we have seen her on YouTube, she likes to play the ukulele, and has a beautiful singing voice. And she's going to treat you to a wonderful little birthday brunch." Playing with her hair, I only smiled as a huff blew out of her mouth, and she swatted my hand away. "Alright, alright. No playing, So sorry."

But she only smiled up at me, taking my hand and beginning to play with my fingers. "Can you believe I'm already 7, Papa?" Her voice was a whisper as she looked up at me, those cocoa eyes of hers like liquid honey as her smile only grew. "I can't believe it. It seems like only yesterday you and Daddy came and rescued me from the big bad building, where all the kids made fun of me, and no one seemed to like me. And now, everyone loves me!" Throwing up her hands, she looked towards me, and I knew she wasn't wrong. All over the YouTube community, no matter whose video she was in, she was profusely loved upon, and appreciated, and called plain cute.

"Daniel! Our guest is here!" I couldn't help but grin, she was a little early, but nothing a few minutes of entertainment couldn't fix. She loved the idea of singing Winnie a few of her songs, maybe even coming up with a new birthday one for her. "Bring Winnie down, but cover her eyes so we can keep the element of surprise!" She quickly looked up at me, jutting out her bottom lip, but I just shook my head. Phil had spoken, we were not about to disobey him now.

Taking her tiny hand in mine, I smiled and covered her eyes with my other hand. "Come now, little cub, I promise that it'll be worth it in the end." With a roll of her eyes, I could just feel it through my hand, she let me lead her downstairs towards her birthday surprise. One of many today. Grinning at the somewhat short haired brunette in front of us, she gave me a thumbs up before sneaking behind us, and I uncovered Winnie's eyes. She looked around, and before long her brows knitted together and she looked around with confusion and disappointment.

"Oh come on, Sweets, don't look so down in the dumps. They've really tried their best to get someone amazing for you. Sadly, you'll have to put up with me." She'd had gone down on her knees and was behind Winnie, waiting for her to turn around, and when she did her eyes grew wide and she gave a shout of 'DODIE!' and wrapped her arms around her lovingly. "Well hello there, Sweets. It's an honour to finally be able to meet you." Winnie seemed to refuse to let her go, but eventually let her breath again after a few minutes. "Now, would you like to hear a song, Sweets? I have a couple, but since you are the birthday girl, you get to decide what you would like to hear." She was holding her ukulele proudly, her green eyes sparkling happily.

Winnie bounced up and down, pointing at one song I knew she'd fallen in love with while listening to Dodie, and to be honest, I'm pretty sure it was one of my favourites. Freckles and Constellations. With an approving nod, Dodie started out the first few strums, and hummed a bit to the key before starting. "Freckles, and constellations, all those cute conversations. The moon is bright, giving us light. I really wanna kiss you and I think I might, filling up our imaginations." Looking over at Winnie, she had sat cross-legged on the floor, Winnie was almost on her lap, she smiled and continued. She was inviting Winnie to join her if she really wanted to. "Starry eyes and galaxy minds, we'll be dancing on the clouds tonight. I'll be yours to keep just take a leap, cause this spaceship has a passenger seat." Bouncing up and down she looked at Dodie with stars of her own in her eyes, licking her lips before joining in the chorus.

"Woah oh oh, I'm star struck. Woah oh oh, no gravity for us. We're intergalactic, with thoughts full of static. Woah oh oh, I'm star struck, for you." I hadn't really heard Winnie sing in a while, and she had a beautiful singing voice. "Midnight mumbles but I'm distracted, I like the way that you reacted. A lunar eclipse at our fingertips, never had a moment that was quite like this. My crazy world has been impacted." She started to sing along with Dodie, and I could only smile, it was a beautiful duo, and they should do more songs together. As they finished up, Dodie bounced up, taking Winnie into her arms, and smiling down at her. "Are you we going for brunch now, Miss Dodie?" Nodding down at her, she smiled and said for us to follow her, as she began to walk out. Phil said he would make sure that the flat was locked up and would catch up with us soon, giving me a kiss before I went to follow Dodie and Winnie. I was waiting to see what Dodie had planned for Winnie, especially with the song she'd promised us.

~

Born in May,

Where some would say

You were meant to stay,

And became our little ray,

Of Sunshine.

When you were three,

You were the key,

To all our happiness and glee,

With eyes that shone like stars in the sky,

A smile like the sun,

Who knew we'd have so much fun,

My,

Little Wonder.

Blond curls and eyes like hot cocoa,

We've fallen in love with them long ago,

You're growing up so fast we can't believe,

Look at all that you've achieved.

Meet a girl named Tabby,

With a mummy named Eve,

Who would've known that she,

Could make you happier than we've,

Ever thought possible.

From America to Japan,

You should know that there is no land,

Where our love for you,

Will ever be untrue.

Little Cub,

All those nights with bubbles in the tub,

Your smile alone,

Has grown,

Larger every day.

Today is your special day,

And though there is so much we could say,

For today you're turning seven,

And there's a billion,

Ways to say we love you.

But as this song comes to an end,

Can we all still pretend,

That you're still three or four,

Or maybe we should realise that your,

Growing up.

Little One,

Though this song might be done,

Our love for you,

Is never through.

Our little girl,

Our Little Wonder.

When she played the last chord, a grin appeared on her face, looking over to see if Winnie had enjoyed it or not. But for a moment, it seemed like she might be upset, her face contorted, and almost impossible to read. Though it only took a few seconds before her own face broke out in a large grin, light eyes sparkling like they really did have stars in them. "Is that really all about me, Miss Dodie?" She didn't call her Auntie, like she did a lot of other females that we brought around her, but we didn't really question it. She was being polite, so that's all that mattered. I beamed as she looked towards us, and nodded. Yes, we'd had Dodie help us make up a song, a song that meant something to all three of us, and that could be beautifully sung by Dodie. She couldn't have done it any better, and I was glad that nothing had gone wrong.

This song was a pain, and it's not even that good, but I do hope that you guys enjoy it!!
