"So you made some new friends?" I didn't know what was wrong but apparently something was, she refused to look at me. I was like, 8. I didn't really have that much drama going on in my life, and I wasn't to keen on starting any now. Scooting close to her I put my hand over hers and gave a nod, hoping that she wasn't going to start crying or something. "Were they nice? I haven't met many Americans, mum said they're just like us, they're people. But from what I see on shows , I don't think they're very good people." Tabby was upset, that much was clear, but it also seemed like she might be jealous, did she think I was trying to replace her? Despite the fact that we had not seen each other in awhile and I hadn't even tried to contact her, it didn't mean that I wanted anyone else to be my bestest friend, and maybe more if I knew what was going on between us. "I don't know what you're thinking but you're wrong." She was pouting now, taking her hand from underneath mine and folding her arms against her chest, she looked downright adorable there.

Placing my hand on her arm I smiled at her, if not blushing a bit. But her cheeks were slowly turning a rosy shade as well and she eventually looked back at me, her hazel eyes waiting. "You have to be /the/ silliest person in the entire world, Tabby. Yes, they were nice and amazing and their family as big and fun. But you are my best friend and nobody is ever going to steal your rank, okay?" Leaning forward I pressed my lips gently to her cheek and smiled even more, we didn't think it odd, we'd always done little affectionate gestures like this over the years. But her cheeks turned even darker that rosy shade and I couldn't help but giggle. Yes I was 8, but I knew that we were flirting with each other, this is how Daddy and Papa flirted. Like they were still kids and nobody was watching them. Well we were kids, and no one was watching us. "You're so silly, Tabby." I just whispered those few words over and over again, hoping nothing would happen to break this moment. I heard her let out a sigh of relief and her arms slowly wrapped around me, my arms slowly wrapping around her as well. "Besides, they're to old for me, and I'm pretty sure they like each other so it was a little bit awkward when we were all alone." I shrugged, looking up at her like she was the only thing that mattered in the entire world, she was the only thing to me.

Laying her head on top of mine she let out another sigh before kissing the top of my head. "You say the cheesiest things, Win." My name wasn't really good for a nickname name, and it didn't really sound like a nickname, but she made it work. Tabby made a lot of things work. "When did your parents say they were coming to pick you up? It's been awhile and I'm sure mum is asleep right now, I want to take you somewhere." We were 8, I think she was 9, years old and she wants to take me somewhere outside the safety of the flat when it was almost midnight? Sure, sign me the heck up. Taking her hand in mine I nodded and I could see her hazel eyes light up. Standing up she helped me to my feet before directing me to the front door, exactly when my parents came and looked down at us with curious eyes. They were going to ask what we were going to do, where we were going to go. And I had no clue, the only thing I did know is that anywhere Tabby went, I wanted to go. I gave a smile full of sunshine and rainbows towards Papa before hugging Daddy's leg, their hearts melted before they even got a word out. "I'll see you later, right Win?" Her voice was soft and I knew she was acting shy, she always did around others, but she was one of the most energetic and loud people I've come to known. And my parents loved to scream a lot.

"Of course, Tabs." I grinned and giggled as I bounced forward, paying no mind to both my dads watching us, and grabbed her face. I could see the slight fear flash onto her face as she looked up at both my parents, but that soon melted as soon as my lips met her forehead and she closed her eyes for a moment, leaning in to my touch. "See you later." I smiled before taking Papa's hand in one, and Daddy's in the other, leading them out of the flat. They were going to ask what that was about, but I knew that they were going to wait. They'd want to word it correctly. But me, I just wanted to get it out of the way, I had a couple of questions that I'd been wondering about lately.
