I'd taken for granted the feeling of waking up in the arms of someone you love, but this morning, I decided it was time to stop taking things for granting, and start counting my blessings. Letting out a quiet hum as I kept my eye on breakfast, making sure it didn't burn, I kept an ear out for Winnie and Phil, the lazy bums. Not that I should be taking, I usually slept in till noon, but for some reason I'd felt unusually energized this morning. Maybe it was the fact that we were a family again, that Phil was back, and we could actually /feel/ like a family again. Something about the thought just made me feel all warm and fluffy inside.

"You're in an awfully chipper mood." And there he was, the man of the hour. Pecking his cheek, even his morning scowl turned upwards for a moment. "What's the special occasion?" He was only crappy with my cheery attitude due to the fact that he hadn't had any coffee yet. I swear, one day he was gonna have coffee injected into his veins, that way he never grew tired, and never had to sleep. "Mmf." He'd opted to moving right behind me, wrapping his arms around my waist, resting his chin on my shoulder, slowly drifting off.

I kissed the top of his head, butterflies in my stomach as I went back to cooking. "Nothing much, just my husband and the light of my life is back in my life." I felt him smile into my shoulder, and kiss it gently. "But I think I'm gonna need my space, Philly." Now feeling him pout, I shrugged him off. "Come on you butt, get me 2 plates. You two need to eat breakfast. But if you so desire, we can watch TV while eating and even cuddle some." His ocean eyes sparkled as he backed off a little bit, bouncing up and down a little bit. "Winnie, are you up sweetheart?" After hearing no response, I nudged Phil, motioning for him to go to her room.

"Philip Michael Lester, no daughter, no cuddles." With a final huff he went to collect our little girl, coming back with a small smile. "Hey little cub, good morning." Pecking her forehead. "We're having pancakes for breakfast, with whipped cream, syrup, and some blueberries." Her light eyes twinkled sleepily, clapping as fast as she could at the time being.

Pointing towards the living room, Phil just nodded, leaving with her in his arms. Bringing all three plates out, I sat next to Phil, my legs folded underneath me. "Here you are, you two, breakfast!" Their happy cheers, I just giggled softly, leaning against Phil as they ate. "I hope you guys like it, I'm not the best at cooking, but Eve has been teaching me a lot lately." And that is when he paused, looking at me with those ocean eyes curiously. "What's wrong?"

"You've been talking an awful lot about all /kinds/ of women. Eve, Mae, even Louise's name is bugging me on your tongue." He frowned, his eyebrows furrowed deeply, oh gosh. I knew immediately what was bugging him, it wasn't hard to tell with Phil. Pulling away a little bit from him, my frown mirrored his to the extent that it was more sad than upset.

Taking his hand in mine, I just shook my head. "Now don't go thinking like the idiot you are. Philip Michael Lester, I love you. And you damn well know that, Eve, Mae, Louise, they are my /friends/, and you are my best friend and /husband/. There is no one I'd rather spend my entire life with, then you." His eyes watered up, but there was no way to know for sure, since my eyes were watering up as well. "Goddamn, I love you, Phil."

"Papa?" Looking down at our little curly-haired wonder, I picked her up and set her on my lap. "Can we get a puppy?" That was certainly a question /neither/ of us were prepared for. She was bouncing up and down on my lap, and I couldn't help but laugh quietly, squeezing Phil's hand, raising a brow. It was up to him, well, kinda. We'd talk about it more later, but he'd have the first say, so if it didn't happen, then he would be the one getting yelled at.

He took a deep breath, smiling down at Winnie. "Of course we can get a puppy, sweetheart. What kind do you want? Labrador? Terrior? Oh! How about -"
