// this is kind of a special chapter, it kind of sucks, but its in Winnie's POV you know? like, i hope you guys can enjoy this, alright, time to go watch The Office and get the next chapter up//

I'd been dropped off at Auntie Eve's house for what seemed like the 100th time this year, and it was only the second month of the entire year, it seemed stupid. I knew that papa and daddy needed some alone time, apparently today was the day of love, though it seemed silly. Why did they have only /one/ day dedicated to love? If you /really/ loved someone, you should show it to them /everyday/, not just one specific day. But what did I know, I was only 4 years old, at least, that's what papa says when I say something smart. I know I'm right, he knows I'm right, but I think he just wants to imagine it's a 4 year olds babble, so I do as I'm told and hush up.

"Come on, Winnie. I promise we're gonna have /bunches/ of fun!" Auntie Eve beamed at me, I knew she was tired. She had the same dark circles underneath her eyes that papa did when he stayed up to long at night. I may be asleep, but I was no idiot, I knew what he did, he checked up on his audience, seeing what they were saying about him. He often told daddy he didn't care anymore, though we both know he's lying, was there ever a time that he did care?

I felt a hand slip into mine, and my cheeks warmed up as I turned to see Tabby grinning at me, her hazel eyes sparkling like a couple of stars. I always felt funny around her, I knew I was smart for my age, but even I couldn't explain why I felt like this about her. "I'm sorry, was I spacing off again?" Making a face at me she nodded, poking my nose before looking up at her mum, as her name had been called and she was a usually obedient child, her hand was still holding mine, as if though she didn't give it a second thought as I was overthinking it now. I was growing even warmer, and the cooing others around us gave at our position didn't really help, I hated it when I was given attention that I didn't gain myself. "What are doing again?"

"We're gonna go get sweets! Mama says we can, what kind of sweets are you going to get, Winnie?" Now her attention was focused on me, and I looked down shyly. I was beginning to act like papa whenever daddy gave him extra attention, or acted like he was the only one in the entire room. I liked this feeling, a lot. "I might get some cherry chocolate, it's my favourite!" I made a mental note, and why I did, I did not know why. Maybe for a future event? A party? A smile made it's way onto my lips as she started to squeal, skipping up and down happily. "So, are you going to get chocolate as well? Or some ice cream sweets? I heard they have some freeze dried ice cream that tastes /delicious/~!" Her voice was now sing song, it was adorable.

We were finally inside of the sweets shop, and I was a bit overwhelmed, apparently this was the one papa went to all the time when he gets us sweets. I suddenly dragged Tabby with me down the aisles of sweets, and Eve had to jog to keep up with us, we had much shorter legs than her, so it wasn't very difficult for her. "Sour chocolate?" My mind couldn't wrap itself around that concept, it seemed fairly new, and I just had to give it a try. "Miss Eve, may I get some sour chocolate?" I looked up at her with my puppy dog eyes, and she didn't even look at me before grabbing the small bags of sweets, tossing them into the basket she'd gotten. She seemed to just be grabbing the sweets that Tabby and me pointed to, until she stopped us.

"We're done girls, let's get going." She paid the right amount of pounds, and turned to us with a soft smile. "Let's go home and watch some movies, and pig out on our sweets." That actually sounded like a pretty good time, so of course, both me and Tabby said yes.

~

Eve had fallen asleep almost an hour after we'd gotten home, and so basically me and Tabby were left alone, we decided not to wake her up, she deserved her rest. "So, do you want to play a game?" I knew that line from a movie that papa and daddy had watched one night, Saw or something, so it kind of shook me when Tabby said that, but I wasn't one to back down, so I nodded with a small smile. "Okay, we're gonna play truth or dare!" Her hazel eyes twinkled at me, so had a mischievous expression on her face, and I knew she was planning something. "You first! Truth, or dare?" I didn't know really what she was planning, so I played it safe.

"Truth."

"Alright," She looked down before brushing a piece of hair behind her ear. "Is it true you might like someone? Toby has been running around the playground saying you like someone but he refuses to tell me who." She was looking at me with hopeful eyes, and I couldn't make eye contact with her. My cheeks were reddening, and I almost couldn't believe that had to be the /first/ thing she'd do. I tapped my chin, like it was really a debacle of who it really was.

And that's when I made a face at her, poking at her nose like she'd done to me earlier, "Well. She is a /really/ pretty girl, you don't think that's weird, do you? Me liking a girl while being a girl myself?" I hadn't thought about that. Daddy and papa had sometimes had people like that commenting on their videos. Um, homophobes, that's what they called them I think. "She and I are really good friends, I mean, we talk a /lot/." I was a basically just teasing her at this point, she knew by now, she wasn't stupid. And my face was beyond red right now. I was 4 years old, and I already knew what it was like to have a crush on somebody, was that weird?

"No, I don't think it's weird." She leaned back on her arms, looking over towards me with a smile. "You know, I don't really like boys or girls, I like people. Mama said that's okay, to just like people." She gave a tiny yawn, we had done a lot today, well, not really, but our bodies are small so they kind of got worn out easily. "Now I guess it's my turn, you don't have to ask, I take truth." She was so easy going, so laid back about the entire thing. I squeaked out a tiny question. 'Is it true that /you/ have a crush on someone?' And she beamed at me, taking my hand as her eyes sparkled, it almost looked like she had stars in her eyes. "Yes! Its a girl as well and she is my /best/ friend." That didn't make sense, /I/ was her best friend, did she have another? I began to pout and she just patted my back and giggled, I guess there was another person in her mind. "Now come on, mama is waking up, I think it's time to stop playing."

But she still didn't let my hand go as she stole a piece of my sour chocolate and beamed at me, leaning forward and pressing her lips against my cheek. My cheeks only grew warmer and warmer, and she giggled, squeezing my hand. "Now come on, I think Spongebob is on." Pulling me over towards the TV, I saw Auntie Eve smile at us before going to the kitchen to probably get ready for her next job, she seemed to work a lot of jobs this days. What I hadn't expected was for Tabby to lean over and kiss my cheek again. "Happy Valentine's Day, Winnie." And before I had time to answer, her eyes were glued to the TV, a smile on her face.

Yeah, Happy Valentine's Day, Tabby.
