"How are you feeling?" Ara asked Taehyung as he looked around his new room on the new clinic. Ara had made all the arrangements to transfer him to the clinic that the doctor recommended. Taehyung was still rejecting the idea but he was transferred now and there wasn't much to do about it, especially when it comes to Ara, she would oppose.

"Fine." Ara rolled her eyes and walked towards his bed. She knew he was still upset over the change. She caressed the sheets and leaned on the bed, the mattress moved comfortably under her touch.

"This is nice, isn't it?" Taehyung glanced at her but then looked back at the window. She rolled her eyes again but smirked.

"So you don't like your new room?"

"It's okay I guess." Ara chuckled as she sat on the chair next to his bed and looked at him shrug. Taehyung felt her intense gaze and swallowed hard.

"It's brighter." He simply said and Ara nodded. "And bigger... And look you have a tv." She said turning on the tv. Taehyung turned to look at her and felt his weak heart racing. She was beautiful even with that worried and tired look she had right now.

"Noona..." She quickly turned to look at him. His dark orbs welcomed hers and Ara felt warm inside. "Thanks." That simple word made Ara smile widely, she nodded eagerly at the boy.

"We'll pay you back-

"I don't wanna hear anything about that taehyung!" Ara was now upset. He's been insisting on paying for the whole thing afterwards when he's old enough and have a stable job but of course Ara rejected this idea.

"It's nothing for me."

"But it's a lot for people like us." Taehyung was hurt, his pride overall but his mother had insisted the previous night on letting Ara pay for everything. It was only natural for a mother to accept help in a situation like that, she only wanted to give her son another chance.

I don't care if I had to take charity as long as my son keeps breathing. Her words resounded on Taehyung's mind. He looked down ashamed and swallowed hard.

"Can we just not talk about that right now?" Her sweet voice echoed in the room.

He nodded as his eyes wandered from hers to her neck. He noticed she was wearing a golden necklace. "What is that?" He pointed at the pendant. Ara looked down at it and caressed the small shiny thing.

"It's a seed." Taehyung frowned as he tilted his head. He couldn't imagine why a girl would have a seed as a pendant, it wasn't very common.

"Why?" Ara chuckled at his confused face. She thought he looked adorable when he was confused and his forehead would wrinkle.

"My grandmother gave it to me... She said that we have four lives... A life of planting seeds, a life of watering the seeds, a life of harvesting and a life of cherishing the harvests. She always wished I was in my first life and gave me this as my 9th birthday gift." Taehyung's frown softened as Ara lips moved, telling the story behind the pendant. He respected grandmothers, he loved his but unfortunately she had passed away years ago.

"You know... Grandmothers believe in these kind of things." She said caressing the seed between her fingers when suddenly her phone beeped and she pulled it out of her pocket. Taehyung examined her face, looking for hints about who might be texting her.

"Your mother will be here soon." She said pulling her phone back in her pocket. He narrowed his eyes and sat straight. "So you and my mother are friends now?" Ara looked at him and chuckled.
