Chapter Five

**Time skip a couple months**

"Hey Mariah, would you like to have dinner with Meredith and i after work?" Derek asks

"Are you pitying me because I'm lonely?" i inquire

"What, no. I just thought you'd like to spend some time with me and my girlfriend ." he says simply

"I see your girlfriend like everyday, she's my resident." i chuckle "Well if you don't want to go, you don't have to." he shrugs

"Derek, I'm playing. Of course I'd like to have dinner with you and Meredith," i smile

"As long as you're paying."

"Ugh, yes I'm paying." he grumbles

"Thank you." i smirk as i go sign some papers before i leave.

I finish the rest of them and change into actual clothes. I go to the lobby to see Meredith and Derek together, i walk over to them and smile.

"Ready?" i ask

I look over to the front desk and i see the one person i thought i'd never see again.

Addison.

Addison and i used to be really good friends, in fact she was my best friend. But when she cheated on Derek with Mark, we kind of drifted.

"We should get going. Now." i say through gritted teeth

"Mariah, Whats your hurry?" Derek asks

I point with my eyes to Addison's direction, and immediately he freezes. Addison sees that she has been acknowledged and makes her way over.

hit.

"Meredith, I'm so sorry." he apologizes

"What Derek, who is she?" Meredith asks confused

I give Meredith a look of pity and she shifts on her feet as Addison come.

"Hi, I'm Addison Shepherd." Addison says

Hearing her say it sounds so disgusting.

"Shepherd?" Meredith questions
