Maya.
She took a while to come down but when she did my heart dropped. She was crying and her eyes were bloodshot red.
After I rushed up to her and gave her a hug, she told me she would tell me what's wrong after breakfast.
I love it that she trusts me and cares for me just as much as I care for her.
After breakfast she took my hand and we walked in silence to the park. We sat down on the swing and she started rocking back and forth.
"Maya." I said softly and took her hand. She intertwined our fingers and immediately smiled making me smile. "My mom died this morning." She said and I saw the tears pooling in her eyes.
"I'm so sorry." I said feeling the tears stinging in the back of my eyes as I see her so heartbroken. I was shocked to be honest.
I never expected the news to be any line of death.
"It's okay. I knew it will happen someday, but she's in a beeter place now." She said and I hugged her so tightly. "What was wrong with her?" I asked and she looked up at me and wiped her tears away.
"She was extremely sick but the doctors couldn't find what was wrong. She basically just lived in the hospital for treatments that did nothing for her." She said and took my hand.
She started playing with my fingers, probably trying to get the idea out of her mind. "I'm so sorry for your loss Maya. Do you want to go home or something?" I asked but she shook her head.
"My brother said I sould come but I don't want to leave. Because if I go back it will just remind me of everything you know, all the memories that will come back. And now I'm trying to forget about everything. And I don't wanna leave you..." She said and rested her head on my shoulder.
I kissed her throne and rested my head on hers, smiling from ear to ear of the thought that she doesn't want to leave.. ME!
"Okay." I said softly. We just sat on the swing in silence till Aaliyah came to get us. We drove to the arena again for rehearsals and then went back to the hotel.
I was planning on just spending the time we have free in the room with Aaliyah and Maya, trying to make her forget about things.
