Shawn:

It's the next morning.

The day Maya and Aaliyah goes back home.

The car ride to the airport was silent the entire way. Maya was holding on to my arm and hand, so tightly, like she was afraid to let go. Her head was resting on my shoulder and I rested my head on top hers.

Not wanting her to let go either.

As we pulled up in the parking lot of the airport I felt a wet stain on me shoulder. I looked down at Maya to see her wiping her nose and cheeks. I turned to her and she looked up at me after  I cupped her cheeks and wiped away her tears with the pads of my thumbs.

"Hey, darling. Please don't cry. I'll see you again soon, it's only a while before tour is over." I said and she pulled me into a tight hug. I felt the tears stinging in the back of my eyes and I closed them, hiding my face in the crook of her neck. Holding her as close as I possibly could before we have to get out of the car.

Geoff found a parking spot and we got out of the car.

I took Maya and Aaliyah's bags for them because they were only small carry on bags. They only stayed the night.

I still can't believe they spent the money on me  just for one night, but I can't take them with me for the rest of the tour. Lord knows, I tried talking it into Andrew this morning but he just said no, because everything is already booked and payed for.

I wish I could though.

And besides, Maya needs to go back home to finish up some of the last few things to get her studio fully done.

We walked into the airport and checked them in, and then walked to the waiting area where I sat between the two of them as we waited for their flight number to be called. We didn't speak.

Not a word.

We just sat there in silence, holding on to each other till we are yet again pulled apart. Maya holding on to my hand and I wrapped my arm around Aaliyah's shoulders. But we're only being pulled apart for a month. Then tour is over and I can go back home to my two favorite girls... and my mum and dad of course.

'Flight Number 65. Ready to board'

The intercom went off about half an hour later. We all stood up, with a deep sigh leaving all our mouths and we walked towards the drop off zone. "Goodbye Shawn. Enjoy the rest of your tour." Aaliyah said and I pulled her into a tight hug. "I'll miss you, and thank you for the surprise." I said ruffling her hair as she stepped away, and she groaned, glaring at me before giving me another hug and walking to security.

She handed her boarding pass to security and walked to the gates, waving back at me one more time before she fully walked in towards the plane.

"So I guess this is goodbye." Maya said. Her voice breaking at the end as the tears once again pooled up in her eyes. "No. This is a see you soon." I said, cupping her cheeks and brushing a piece of hair behind her ear.

I stepped closer to her and took her hand in mine, playing with the ring around her finger. I smiled, pulling her hand up to my mouth and placing a sweet kiss on the top. "I can't wait to come home and for this then to be an official yes." I said looking at her ring before locking  my eyes on hers.

She pulled me into a hug, wrapping her arms tightly around my neck and I held her close. "I love you so much Maya. I'll see you soon okay." I mumbled into her neck, feeling the tear sliding down my cheek and onto her shoulder.

"See you soon my love." She said, pulling out of my embrace. She cupped my cheek and wiped away my tear, kissing my cheek before picking up her bag and handed her pass to the security before walking through.

As I turned around to walk back to Geoff in the car, I smiled, thinking of when I'll see her again. Thinking about when I get to go home again.

"Shawn! Wait!" She yelled and I turned around to see her barging through security and running up to me again. She jumped up in my arms, wrapping her legs around my waist and giving me one last hug.

"I forgot something." She said and jumped down. I furrowed my eyebrows together at her in question of what she forgot. "What is it?" I asked and she smiled up at me. "This." She said and crashed her lips to mine.

Our lips moved in sync and she let it lingered for a second before pulling away. "Now I feel better to leave." She chuckled and I quickly kissed her again. "Keep this." She said handing me a guitar pick.

I examined it, twisting and turning it in my fingertips and I smiled, seeing that she had it made for me. Our named were carved in on the one side and the date of our first official date on the other. "I love it. I'm never letting it go. Thank you." I said and she kissed me quickly before security called her back.

"I'll see you in a month darling. I love you!" I yelled to her as she walked back to the plane. She turned around and smiled at me, waving one more time and blowing me a kiss.

"That's my girl." I said to myself and started walking back to the car to go to the arena for sound check and to rehearse for tonight's show.
