Part 83

Shawn:

I woke up and immediately Maya was on my mind.

I was thinking about what she's up to or if she's going to be up right about now. Me and Geoff went out and he then took me to look at some tuxedos.

"Dude that one may just be... THE ONE!" He exclaimed as I still looked in the mirror at the tux I'm wearing. "Think Maya will like it?" I asked and he just looked at me.

"Dude. You're Shawn Mendes. Maya will love you even if you arrive at your wedding in socks and sandals with sweatpants and a shirt." He said and I laughed, smoothing out the blazeer.

"Probably but I'm not doing that. I want this day to be perfect." I said and he laughed shaking his head.

"Then I'll take it." I said to the man who was helping us. He did a little jump as he walked back to the tills, already lining up all the things I'm about to buy.

Ping!

My phone went off and it was a FaceTime request from the one and only... Maya!

"MAYA!" I yelled and she just laughed at me. "Hey baby." I said answer and giving my card to Geoff so he could go pay.

"You'll never guess what I got today!" She said and I just smiiled at her excitement. "What?" I asked and she smiled from ear to ear. "Well Lauren and Aaliyah helped but I bought my dress today." She said.

What a coincidence that we both went wedding-shoppingon this day, today.

"No way. I bet you looked like a princess." I said and she gasped.

"Never mind a princess! Try the darn Queen!" She said and I couldn't contain my laughter any longer. I started laughing so loud at her and she just, at first, looked at me, glaring at me, which only made me laugh more.

She eventually gave in and joined in my laughter. "God I miss you so much. you have no idea." I said and she blew me a kiss. "Only a few more weeks my love." She said and I sighed, nodding slowly. I know it's only a few more weeks, but time is going by so slow. 

I'm really enjoying my tour, the moments I'm busy or performing. But when I'm alone, not out on stage or playing guitar and singing, I think about Maya and how much I miss her. Those are the moments that I just want to go home.

"Well I just go my tux." I said, smirking at her and wiggling my eyebrows up and down at her. Her smile grew wider and her jaw almost fell to the ground as surprised she was. "Really!" She gasped and then continued talking.

Maya always talks way more to me when I'm away than when I'm home. I can sense in her blabbering that she misses me more than I miss her.

"I can't wait to see you in it. This will be a bomb of a wedding. And when we start to really plan it and get a place or whatever, just imagine how excited we will be. I'm not even making sense now. But ooh what if I-" But before she could continue, I cut her off.

"Maya, baby you really aren't making any sense." I laughed and she looked down at the floor. "I just miss you so much. I wish you were home, but I also don't want you to come home early just for me. I don't want to worry you and... ugh... it's just all to much emotion and heartache. But I'm okay." She said, smiling a reassuring smile at me. 

"I miss you to my darling. So much." I said an she chuckled. I love it when she does that. It's so short and sweet.

"But you agree though right? That this will be a bomb of a wedding!" She said and I laughed. I know how tired she is, because Maya only talks slang when she's exhausted and can't find other words to think of.

"Maya darling, just go to bed." I laughed and saw her cheeks burning red. "Okay. I love you. Enjoy your day and say 'hi' to Geoff for me. I'll talk to you tonight then. I love you Shawn." She said and I kissed the front camera of my phone. 

"Love you more. Sleep well, oh an Maya." I said and she just replied with a hum. "The bed's all yours." I winked at her and she just laughed, walking to my room. "Maya!" I gasped and she looked at me, her eyes big. "There's something behind you!" I said loudly and saw her jumping around. I started laughing loudly, holding my stomach as it hurts from all the laughter. 

"Oh for gods sake Shawn! I hope you forget your lyrics tonight!" She said and my jaw fell to the ground. "And I hope the slenderman come haunts you inn your sleep." I said an she plonked down on my bed. "Okay. I love you. Bye now." She said and I waved before she hanged up.

"You guys are literally the definition of #couplegoals!" Geoff said handing me my pack and credit card. I just smiled at him and we walked back to the bus.
