The plane landed and we walked off to Starbucks near the exit after getting our bags from baggage claim.
"What would you like?" I asked Aaliyah next to me but when I looked at her it actually wasn't her. "Oh sorry I thought you were Aaliyah." I said when I saw Maya standing next to me.
She looked worried though, as if she wanted to say something or like something was bothering her a lot.
She was nervously playing with her fingers and she looked as if she was on the edge of crying. She kept on looking around her and I was getting a bit worried. "Maya, what's wrong?" I asked and she took my hand pulling me to the side.
"Maya." I laughed as she pulled me behind a wall were nobody was in sight. I stopped chuckling when she faced me.
She had tears in her eyes and she was about to let them fall. "Oh my god Maya! What's going on?" I asked concerned.
"It was my ex- or well we're still dating but I want to leave him. He beats me and practically give me threats if I ever leave him. And I'm scared. I couldn't tell anyone because I don't know what he would do to me, or even worse... what he would do to them. I just don't know what to do and I feel like I can trust you but I don't want you to get hurt either. " She said all in one breath and my mouth fell open.
She trusts and cares for me, yet she doesn't even know me that good.
She's amazing.
My heart was breaking at the sight of her. "Why?" Was all I managed to say and then she broke down in tears. "I don't know." She said and I pulled her into a hug. "It's okay. You're far away from him now. He can't get near you." I said and she pulled away, wiping her tears of her face.
"Common, let's get some coffee." I said giving her a reassuring smile and we walked back to Starbucks. We got coffee and walked outside.
There were a big group of fans waiting once we excited through the main door. I saw Maya looking over her shoulder at me and smiling while she walked to the car.
I smiled back but instantly blushed. She's and amazing girl, why would you ever want to hurt her.
She's a mystery.
One that I wouldn't mind solving because she makes my heart beat slower, faster and even skips beats when she's around me.
