Maya:

We went back to bed and fell asleep. We woke up at 8am and I was getting ready to go to the mall with Lauren.

"Just be safe okay?" Shawn said, sitting down next to me as I put my shoes on. "Promise." I smiled at him.

"Ugh. Can you help me!" I said and threw my foot on his lap so he can tie my laces. "Sure. I don't want you falling for anyone else." He said and tied my shoelace. "Aww that was so cheesy Mendes. And don't worry, you won't ever be replaced." I said and straddle him.

I grabbed his face with my hands and crashed my lips to his. His hands were gently placed on my hips.

"Uh-uhm." We heard and pulled away.

Aaliyah was standing in the doorway with her arms crossed. "You just have to ruin the moment!" Shawn said and I laughed.

"Lauren is downstairs." She said and I hopped of his lap and ran downstairs to meet her. I gave her a hug and we got in her car and drove to the mall.

"Hey I wanted to say. Shawn really appreciated you talking to him the other night." I said and she smiled. "I'm glad, but it's all thanks to you." She said and I smiled.

She put some music on and we jammed out to the songs together, as loud as possible.

It's weird how quickly we became friends.

I mean, for me it usually takes time but she makes me feel comfortable.

"I'm glad we're friends." She said. "Thank you. I like you. I'm glad you decided to be friends with me. Otherwise this would've been weird." I said and she laughed.

We arrived at the mall and first got some coffee before shopping. "You and Shawn are really cute. I'm so happy he found you. I can see he loves you." Lauren said whilst we walked through the store.

I blushed and smiled over at her. "I really do love him to. He's the best." I said feeling a bit uncomfortable talking to her about it because she and Shawn were a thing.

"Maya I can see you're uncomfortable. Please don't be because I'm over Shawn. You can talk to me." She said giving me a hug. "Thank you." I said and we walked to a dress store.

"I need to start looking for a prom dress. This guy at school asked me to go and I need to find somethin' purple." She said looking at the dresses.

Prom?

Shawn never mentioned he had a prom.
