Shawn:
"Oh my god Maya. I'm so sorry. I totally forgot we had a date tonight." I said rushing up to her.
She laughed sarcastically and pulled her hand out of mine. My heart broke into pieces.
I hurt her.
"I'm so sorry." I said again. "Aaliyah was right. You change when she's around." She said and walked off.
I screwed up, I screwed up big time.
"Who was that?" Camila asked with a almost disgusted look on her face as I walked back to the table. I got mad at her reaction and totally lost it.
"That. That was most probably the love of my life but because you just can't seem to keep your hands off me and change me everytime you are near me I lost her." I said and stormed off leaving her there.
I ran back to the room.
Maya's room.
"Maya open up please." I begged. There was silence in the room and then the door opened. "Shawn come quick." It was Aaliyah.
She pulled me towards the bathroom door.
It was locked.
"Maya. Maya please don't do anything stupid." I pleaded and the door opened. "You promised. You promised you'll never hurt me." She said with tears on her cheek.
"Nuthead." Aaliyah said and punched my shoulder. "Please Liyah, butt out of this." I said in the most calming voice I could. I've done enough hurting tonight and I don't want to hurt my sister to.
"Maya. You know I didn't mean to." I said stepping closer. To my surprise she didn't step back.
I took her hand in mine.
"I know. But I thought that you really liked me." She said softly looking down at the floor. I cupped her face and moved her head up so she can look at me. "God Maya if you only knew." I said and she wiped her nose.
"Knew what?" She asked and laughed a bit. It's good to hear her laughing. And seeing a smile on her face, even though it's a sad smile.
"How much I like you. God Maya you make me crazy! Ask Aaliyah, I'm practically talking her ears of about you. I'm surprised she's not annoyed at you." I said laughing. "You do?" She asks with a sparkling light in her eye.
"I love you Maya!" I said louder with a smile. She didn't reply but looked at me blankly. My smile faded knowing that she doesn't feel the same.
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said that." I said and walked out of the bathroom.
"No Shawn wait!" She yelled.
And I stopped in my steps turning around, facing her.
