Maya:

🌸2 months later🌸

"Hello darling." Shawn said as he walked into the hospital room.

Yes. I'm still here.

"I'm so happy to see you. I can't begin to explain." I said as I pulled him into a hug as he sat down next to me on the bed. "How was the show?" I asked and he smiled, taking my hand in his and intertwining our fingers.

"It was okay. I mean I think I could've done better but, it is what it is." He said and I kissed his cheek. "I bet you did amazing. Like always." I said and he crawled over me, sitting on the edge of the bed by my feet and placed his hands down on my belly.

"I know this isn't what we complete and totally wanted but I can't wait to meet you. You give us grief and heartache but just be okay." He whispered, rubbing my belly and I smiled. But I soon squealed in pain as a cramp stroke right through my belly.

"When can this thing get out of me!" I practically yelled out, balling up in a ball as the pain is just unbearable. "Doctor!" Shawn yelled as he ran out. Not a long while later my doctor and a nurse came in.

She took a look at the scans and how far my contractions are apart. "Shit! Wait wait wait! Something is wrong!" I cried as I felt the bedding under me getting wet.

"Uhm, nothing is wrong Maya. You're water just broke." Doctor Reece said and I laughed as Shawn grabbed ahold of my hand.

"Wait what! What!" He laughed and kissed my forehead. I was trying to smile but it hurt so bad all I could do is cuss and scream. "Maya, I never heard you speak that way." Shawn laughed and I tightened my grip on his hand.

"Oh yeah. Well this thing is hurting more than period cramps." I said and he just continued laughing.

🌸Shawn:

She was screaming and cussing. I was surprised because Maya isn't one for talking like that.

"Stop laughing you idiot!" She glared at me and I quickly shut up. I took her hand in mine again but she clapped it away. "Go! Leave, get out!" She yelled.

I know this is only her pain speaking so I didn't leave. "Shawn get out!" She yelled and I slowly started walking to the door. "No no no. Baby come back!" She cried and I laughed as I walked up to her again.

She was now crying full on.

I crouched fown to her and brushed her hair out of her face. "Maya you'll be okay. The baby will be okay." I said but she continued crying. I wiped the tears from the side of her face.

"Shawn." She said, her lips quivering. "I'm right here baby." I smiled and kissed her forehead. "I'm scared." She whispered as another tear fell from her cheek.

I know she's scared. She's scared something will happen to the baby.

"Don't be. Please. Don't be scared. I promise you everything will be okay." I whispered to her as the doctors set up her bed to take her to the ER.
"Mr. Mendes we're taking Maya to the emergency room because she isn't capable of delivering the baby naturally. But she'll be okay. We'll take good care of her." He said and I nodded, kissing Maya one more time before they took her away.

Time passed and almost an hour later Doctor Reece came walking out of the operation room with his hair cap in his hands.

A worried and sad look on his face but also a hint of excitement.

"Please tell me everything is okay!" I said as I jumped up. "Please sit." He said but I shook my head.

It's never good when they say that.

"During the surgery Maya lost a lot of blood. She's still haven't woken up but she's stable and okay. We gave her some medication to sleep so she can regain her strength." He said and I sighed a breath of relief.

"And the baby?" I asked and he looked sorry again. "Please don't." I whispered.

"Mr. Mendes at first, your baby was born dead. She didn't breath once she was out but our nurse took her in her hands and within minutes she started screaming." He smiled, placing his hand on my shoulder. "You have a healthy baby girl." He said and I laughed, tears rolling down my cheeks.

"Can I see her?" I asked and he led me to the room where I looked at our little girl through the glass. "She's beautiful. Just like her mother." I said and wiped my eyes. "Where's Maya?" I asked and just then they pushed her through.

"Maya." I said and rushed up to her. I saw her eyes slowly opening and she smiled as I took her hand in mine. "Hey." She said weakly. "Maya you did it. We have a beautiful baby girl. You should see her." I smiled and she chuckled lightly.

"Where is she?" She asked and they pushed her closer to the window, but she still couldn't see. "Wait." I said and quickly took a picture, showing her.

She gasped softly, still weak from the surgery.

"Wow. She's beautiful." She said as a tear rolled down the side of her face.

We did it.

We have a beautiful baby girl and a wonderful family.
