Barry arrived to Caitlin's house and ran up to the door and knocked lightly. He was very angry but he was going to hide that. The uncle then opened the door and stared at Barry.
"Who the hell are you and what do you want?!" He said in an annoyed tone. Barry squinted his eyes.
"I'm a friend of Caitlin's." He replied kindly. The uncle crossed his arms.
"I'm surprised she actually has a friend. She's too much of a loner to have friends." He muttered. Barry tilted his head.
"Well, she's my tutor and I care about her. So what are the bruises on her from?" He questioned protectively. The uncle chuckled.
"She's one clumsy girl." He answered with a lying smirk. Barry shook his head.
"Deadass lie." He said now angry.

"Listen punk, I'm her guardian. She lives under my roof, and if I want to beat on her, I will. There's nothing you can do about it." The uncle started to yell. Barry rolled his eyes.
"Stay away from her. Stop hurting her!" He shouted loudly. The uncle was about to yank barry and punch him, but Caitlin suddenly started to make her way up to the house; looking down wearing her hood up. Barry turned his head and the uncle took his hand away and crossed his arms and went back inside. Caitlin saw her uncle walk inside and then she looked at Barry.

"Barry? W-what are you doing here?" She mumbled with her hood still up. Barry sighed.
"I just came to talk sense into your uncle." He replied. Caitlin widened her eyes.

"What?" She questioned with her still wide eyes.
Barry sighed and walked closer to caitlin.

"I had to." He replied shyly. Caitlin tilted her head.
"Barry, you could've gotten hurt! I mean seriously what is wrong with you?!" She shouted almost tearing up. Barry then yanked caitlin's hood from her head and pointed at her bruised face.

"THIS! This is what's wrong with me! I can't stand seeing you hurt like this! It hurts me to see you in pain!" He shouted in tearing up and his voice cracking at times. Caitlin let a tear fall slowly down her cheek.

"I-I'm fine."

"No, you're not. You are living in a house where you are not safe. You can't let him do this to you."

"It's not that easy to just leave. He's all I have."

"Your safety matters to me."

"Why?! I have no friends, I am so smart that nobody talks to me because they think I'm some snobby geek! My parents died in a car crash and I was left with my uncle who has cancer! Can't you see Barry?! I'm destined for sadness. I'm destined for heartbreak. My safety should mean nothing to you."

After Barry heard those words he couldn't help but feel sad. He felt so bad for Caitlin and he didn't know how to help anymore. Caitlin looked at Barry and realized that he had nothing to say, so she turned away and walked up her porch. Barry looked at Caitlin and ran after her.
He pulled her wrist, turning her to him. Caitlin looked up into his eyes admiring him. Barry couldn't help but gaze at her beauty. He eventually got lost in her eyes and felt his heart pump faster and faster. His face began to flush and he felt chills all down his spine. Caitlin got the same chills and continued to look at him.
The two stood there in silence as the sun started to set slowly. Barry couldn't wait anymore, he then placed his hand on her cheek; cupping her face. Caitlin continued to look at Barry; feeling more chills than before. Was it possible for two people to instantly feel love just by one look? Barry then stroked Caitlin's cheek and pecked her lips softly. Caitlin kissed back and slightly smiled. Barry let out a small smile. Caitlin then kissed him again, this time more passionate. Barry kissed right back with her hands cupping her face. They had waited for this moment. They wanted it. They got it.
Caitlin's uncle was reading the newspaper in the living room trying to calm his anger. He then looked out the window and saw Barry and Caitlin kissing. He shot up very angry and threw his papers down. He then barged open the front door, interrupting Caitlin and Barry's kiss. Caitlin immediately got scared and looked at her uncle. The uncle walked to caitlin and slapped her, making her fall straight to the ground.

"You immature teenager!" He shouted loudly.

Caitlin felt her cheek tingle from how painful the slap was. Barry's eyes were wide and he was now angry. He felt his eye twitch and he walked to the uncle.
"I said don't you dare touch her!" Barry shouted in anger. The uncle then shoved Barry and forced Caitlin to stand.
"I'm her guardian I have the right to do whatever I want." He shouted.
Barry instantly became even more angry. The uncle saw how angry Barry was and he punched him.
"Leave my property now!" He shouted loudly. Caitlin widened her eyes and smacked the uncle across his face.
"YOU ASSHOLE!" She shouted almost screaming. The uncle became furious and grabbed out his pocketknife and went to Barry. He then stabbed Barry in his leg very deeply letting blood flow out. Caitlin widened her eyes as Barry groaned in pain. She then ran to Barry. Before she could even touch Barry she felt a pierce in her stomach. She looked
down and saw blood come from it. The uncle then examined his revolver that he had in his hand and then looked at Caitlin's bleeding stomach. Barry widened his eyes and felt a tear fall down his cheek.

"NO!" He shouted loudly in tears.

The uncle then realized what he did to Barry and Caitlin and he began to run. He kept the gun and knife in his hands and continued to run until he was out of sight.
Caitlin put her hand to her stomach and felt all the blood coming from her stomach. Barry looked at caitlin and watched her fall to the ground. He caught her immediately and she looked into his eyes.
"No no no! Hey stay with me okay?!" He said in tears. Barry then began to scream for help; shouting at the top of his lungs. Caitlin stroked Barry's cheek and her hearing got worse and worse. Things were getting blurry for her and the last thing she saw was someone coming towards her. She could not tell who it was due to her blurry vision and she closed her eyes feeling darkness close over her.
