Unexpected Chemistry

End Of An Era

     "Ken." Caitlin muttered. Oliver clenched his jaw. Just by even looking at the uncle made him angry. The uncle stood up and walked up as far as he could. Caitlin looked up at him.

     "You came." Ken said in a slight tone of relief.

     "Don't think I'm here to bail you out. You deserve to be here and you know that." Caitlin said without a thought. Lee looked at Caitlin and then back at Ken.

     "I know. Caity I should've never hurt you. I'm learning my lesson. I just need your forgiveness." Ken said almost crying. Caitlin shook her head.

     "You raped and assaulted me. There's no way in hell I'm giving you my forgiveness. I came here to tell you that you'll never lay a hand on me again. I know that life went terrible after the accident, but it wasn't just you that lost someone. It's time for me to live my life, I am tired of being afraid." She said almost yelling. Tears streamed down her face and she walked away.

     "Cait, Caity please!" Ken shouted. Caitlin spun to him.

     "It's Caitlin. But it wouldn't matter, you'll never see me again. Goodbye, Ken." She said with tears. Oliver held Caitlin's hand and walked away with her. Lee gave Ken a glare and walked with them. Ken sat down on the ground and began to cry in guilt.

     Once they got to the lobby Caitlin began to cry even more. Oliver looked at her and hugged her.

     "Hey, shh. It's going to be okay, I'm here." She comforted while wrapping his arms around her and resting his head on top of hers. Caitlin nodded and began hugging back.

     "Thank you." She replied while crying into his chest. Oliver kissed her head and they stayed like that for another minute or so.

     It was the next day. Barry woke up to the sun rays bouncing off the window and into his face. He grunted and sat up. Patty was no where in sight. Barry automatically knew that she went to his place last night to clean up. Caitlin was at her house in bed. After the trip to the police station, Oliver took her home and told her to call him if she needed to. Caitlin agreed and wanted to be alone for the rest of the night.

     Barry walked outside and got into a cab to go back to his house. He was tired and hungover.

     'What did I do last night?' He thought to himself while resting his chin on his hand. He was trying to remember what he did last night, but all he could think of was why he was at Patty's. Only one thing came to mind.

     'Fuck...did I sleep with her?' He asked himself with widened eyes. He shook his head hoping that he didn't. He finally arrived to his house and ran inside.

     "Patty?" He yelled out. Felicity came out of the kitchen.

     "Barry? Patty went to work, what's wrong?" She said walking up to him. Barry took a deep breath.

     "I-Nothing...I gotta go see Caitlin." He spoke fast before running back out. Felicity tried to stop him but he was already gone. She sighed and went back to making breakfast. Felicity goes to his house a lot, it's like the hangout. Oliver is normally there too, but him and Felicity are obviously going through a rough patch. Caitlin goes there too, which is why Felicity was confused, but she kept going on with her morning.

     Barry took a cab to Caitlin's house and knocked fast. Caitlin opened her eyes and sat up. The door opened and Barry called her name. She stood up slowly, still half asleep and walked out of her room.

     "Hm?" She hummed loudly. Barry ran up the stairs and walked to her.

     "I don't remember anything from last night, what did I do?!" He questioned. Caitlin wiped her tired eyes and walked to him.
