Chapter 63 - Grocery

For days, wala kami narereceived na kahit anong video files. Tahimik ang laptop ni Cole and there are no new messages from Nameless. Cole used this time para makipag coordinate sa mga tauhan niya to know more about the whereabouts of Nameless. I found out from Jared na may hawak na mga tao si Cole who is helping him about this investigation aside from Amos.

"Jared, I think kailangan ko na mag grocery. Paubos na ang food stocks natin. Almost isang week na tayong di lumalabas ng bahay."

"I can't get out, Nameless is keeping me a prisoner here. He might attack me again kapag lumabas ako," sagot ni Jared habang nagpapalipat lipat ng channels sa television.

"Ako na lang ang mag grogrocery. I don't think that I am a threat to Nameless."

"What? No! Di ba sabi ko sayo you are not safe? The demon generals may be after you!"

"Do you think we are safe kung wala na tayo makain? Mag-iingat ako, promise!" sabi ko sabay peace sign sa kanya.

"I said, no! You can't go out alone. Sasamahan kita. Let us test if Nameless will pursue his attack this time," sabi ni Jared sabay kuha ng susi ng sasakyan nila.

Dahan dahan kami lumabas ng bahay and we are careful with our every step pero nabuksan namin ang gate at nakalabas kami ng bahay nang walang umaatake sa amin. It seems that Nameless is no longer bothered kung lumabas kami ng bahay.

"Or hindi niya alam na lumabas tayo?" sagot ni Jared habang kumukuha ng ilang ice cream sa fridge.

"What do you mean?"

"Nothing. I think Nameless is just busy preparing his next move and he knows we can't hide from him, that's why hinayaan niya tayong lumabas. What do you want to eat aside from me?"

"Busy? You are rejecting my calls. Nagtatampo na ko sayo. Bakit andito ka nga pala sa grocery? Nakakaturn on naman ang lalaki na nag grogrocery," sabi ni Candy na nilalapit ang mukha kay Jared.

"I am a man of many talents," nakangiti niyang sagot kay Candy.

"That is why I am so attracted to you kahit noon pa," she said seductively and she is about to kiss Jared kahit nasa gitna kami ng grocery store.

Dalawa lang ang gagawin ko. It is either hayaan ko lang si Jared makipaglaplapan kay Candy sa harapan ko or kakaladkarin ko palabas ng grocery store ang malanding babaeng ito. I chose the milder version. I interrupted them and quickly pulled Jared's arm palapit sa akin. Kulang na lang itago ko siya sa likod ko.

"Pwede touch, pero bawal kiss," sabi ko sabay hila kay Jared.

"Maia Saavedra? Why are you here? Akala ko nasa abroad ka."

"Hi, Candy. Andito kami ng boyfriend ko para mag grocery. Ikaw? Anong ginagawa ng mga braso mo sa leeg ng boyfriend ko?"

"What? Boyfriend mo si Jared? I thought best of friends lang kayo since first year. Kailan pa naging kayo?"

"Ngayon lang, as in now lang! Let's go, Jared. Baka gusto mong putulin ko yung hotdog mo kasabay ng pagputol ko ng braso niya?" inis kong sabi kay Jared sabay hila sa kanya papunta sa cashier.

"Wow, I didn't know na marahas ka pala, Maia. That was sexy," sabi ni Jared habang nasa nagbabayad kami sa cashier.

"Shut up, hihintayin na lang kita sa kotse."

"Wait, Maia. I forgot my wallet. Can you pay for these?" natatawa niyang tanong sa akin sabay kamot ng ulo niya.

"Tsk! Kung di lang kita mahal, ikaw na binayad ko sa cashier eh!"

Humalakhak lang siya sa sinabi ko. Malamang akala niya biro lang ang lahat.

Pagdating namin sa bahay, andun na si Cole at gising na din si Maddie. They motioned us to watch some videos on Cole's laptop.

The video that we are watching is similar to the first video that was sent to us. May lalaking nasa harap ng camera and he also used his blood to draw something on the wall. The drawing is much clearer and it looks like a bunch of flowers on vase.

"Tell me where will I next pop. Tell me and I will surely stop," sabi ng lalaki bago tuluyang ibaon ang isang blade sa chest niya.

"He is businessman based in Zundert, Netherlands. This second victim is probably an American citizen based from his accent. I think you should see this next video," sabi ni Cole sabay bukas ng second video.

The video is almost the same wherein a man is using his own blood to draw something on the wall before killing himself. The only difference is iba ang drawing niya sa wall. He also did not say anything as his parting words.

"Ano naman yan? His drawings, parang mga ugat ng puno," sabi ni Maddie and she also sounds desperate.

"I agree, it also looks like a drawing of a brain neuron with dendrites," dagdag ko dahil hindi ko din maintindihan ang mga bloody paintings sa walls.

"I am afraid, I have another video to show all of you," sabi ni Cole sabay bukas ng isa pang video.

The video is surely from a different place. The man drew something on the wall using his blood. It looks like a vase with flowers, but the actual type of flowers are hard to distinguish.

"Anong trip ni Nameless? Yung unang drawing magulo. Yung dalawa may flower vase, yung isa naman mukhang ugat. Sana professional painters ang ginamit niya," inis na sabi ni Maddie dahil kahit sino sa amin ay walang idea sa mga nangyayari.

"Whether we found out what these drawings are all about, we need to find the locations of these victims. Kailangan natin mahanap ang connection so we can answer Nameless," sabi ni Jared habang nakatingin sa laptop. This time, I can sense that he knows what's going on.

"Jared, why is he doing this to us?" tanong ni Maddie sa kapatid niya.

"Nameless thinks highly of us, but he wants to know if we are deserving to face him. Kung pasado tayo sa kanya, he probably wants to meet us in person. I don't know what he wants with us, but I doubt na gagamitin niya tayo sa mabuti."

"I will send these videos to Amos and I will let you know kung saan nag transpired ang mga incidents na ito," sabi ni Cole.
