Wanting (Itachi Uchiha x OC) [Completed]

Chapter Thirty-Two: Meetings.

"What? You shouldn't trust me, woman." He smirked. Knowing of his immortality, I grabbed a kunai from Samichi's weapon pouch and stabbed it into Hidan, being sure to wiggle it a little. He let out a small yell of pain.

"What the fuck?" He said as he held the wound.

"Tch." Now I see why no one likes Hidan. He's a little bitch.

The fact that I have not had a mission in nearly two months has really gotten to me. Yeah, I'm lazy, but that's when I had missions to take my energy out on! Now, I just resort to cleaning the already spotless base. Well, the parts that aren't bedrooms. The infirmary, living room, kitchen, taijutsu training room, ecetera. Sometimes it I'm feeling extra brave, I'll clean Pain's usually empty office. Anything to keep my myself occupied. Sometimes I go outside to the boulder and watch Deidara and Samichi go against eachother.

Today, it's the kitchen. I start by washing the dishes, then wiping down the counters, then I sweep and mom the floors. I used to dust, but I haven't given the room time to build any dust. Whoops? No, that's a good thing.

I feel a hand rest on my shoulder and a small kiss on my neck. "You're overworking yourself." I place my hand on his and release a sigh.

"I know. You're right." I look up to see a smiling Itachi. "What're you smiling at?"

"Get ready. I want you to know everyone in the Akatsuki. It's good to have allies." He wants us to travel to Kusagakure?

"That's only a two day trip. Okay, that sounds fine. I'll be back." I notice Itachi summoned a crow, probably to send word to Pain that we're travelling to the other base.

After I take a shower, I brush my teeth and pull my hair up into a high ponytail. I put on my black pants, blade holster, standard weapon pouch, and a sweater. We're due snow, so we should make this visit quick or we'll be stuck with the remaining three members; Tobi, Zetsu, and Sasori. Pain and Konan live elsewhere in the Hidden Rain.

After just over two days, we reach the other base. This one wasn't a cave. It was an actual house hidden deep inside a valley. A real house seems like a luxury to me at this point. Itachi walked to the door and opened it. The entire living room was brightly lit and well-decorated. The kitchen as well. The west wing consists of the training room, some kind of wood shop, and an infirmary, while the east holds four bedrooms.

"It's a lot nicer than our cave, that's for sure." I scoff.

"Not many people live here." I jump slightly to see a red-haired man had appeared behind me. Itachi didn't seem the least bit surprised. I've never seen Zetsu but based on Tobi's description of him, this man is Sasori.

"Eh, hello," Despite my usual over-confidence, I'm terrible at introductions. "Good to meet you." I held out my hand, and Sasori shook it.

"Likewise," He released my hand. "I have to go. Make yourself comfortable." With that, he left toward the west wing. These people never cease to surprise me.

"Would you like something to eat?" Itachi asked me.

"No thanks. I'm just ready to go to sleep. I'm exhausted."

"I'll go prepare the spare room."

"Thank you."

While Itachi was already laying down, I was finishing my nightly routine. When finished, I slid underneath the thick covers. When Itachi sensed my presence, he grabbed my waist and pulled me close to him, where I snuggled myself to him. The winter is cold, after all. I should keep warm.
