I bet I loved him even way back then; nearly thirteen years ago.

Some things just don't change.

A/N: (This chapter skips 5ish months. Making the baby just about a month old.)

"Akira, if you don't quiet down, you'll wake her." I hadn't realized it, but I was rambling on about something.

"Ugh. You're right." I glanced over to the small white cradle which held our daughter. Thankfully, she didn't seem
get my thick brown hair. She got Itachi's midnight black hair. She did inherent my sky blue eyes, though. Her skin was fair like Itachi's, as well. Maybe I was biased, becuase she was my daughter, but she was beautiful.

"You're right, though. We can't raise our child here." I only now realized that the subject i was rambling about was where we'd raise her. Indira Uchiha. Our daughter. It still rattled me to the core to know that I have a child, a real living being in my care for the next eighteen or so years.

"If we were to leave the Akatsuki, what would Deidara and Samichi do? He's like a brother to me; and she's my partner. I don't want them to be upset or worried. Kisame, Hidan and the others probably wouldn't care. They're bloodthirsty dumbasses-" I tend to overthink things, so Itachi decided to stop me before I woke Indira.

"Calm down, Love," Itachi placed a hand on my cheek. "We need to do what is best for Indira. Not us, not Deidara or Samichi." I sighed.

"Then we should talk to Pain. He'll probably have close eyes on us for the rest of our lives, but that's fine. Indira will be safe."

___

Pain explained carefully, and in detail, the bad things that'd happen to us if we were to ever speak of the Akatsuki's business and assured us there'd be a White Zetsu clone everywhere we went.

Itachi and I notified Pain of where we'd be living from here on out.

Back where I was before, in the cabin.

___

Itachi and I packed some clothes and items and I picked up Indira gently. We left the winding cave for the last time to see Deidara and Samichi waiting for us on a clay bird he had conjured up. We got on and Samichi took my bag, Itachi had his and Deidara led the clay bird to its destination. I held Indira closely to my chest and looked closely at her soft features. To protect her from the harsh wind, I wrapped her in an extra blanket.

The fly over to the cabin was quicker than the walk.

All four of us got off of the bird. Deidara stood across from Itachi and I with Samichi, their hands intertwined. Water droplets fell from the sky in the form of large raindrops.

"I'm gonna miss you two! That cutie, too." Samichi pouted. Deidara shook his head. When he did so, I watched as a tear flew from his eye onto the ground. I noticed my eyes start to burn and tears dripped freely from my eyes like a waterfall. Deidara walked over to me and gave me a tight hug, acknowledging my daughter and careful not to hurt her.

"I'm-I'm crying because of you, hm. I can't believe you're leaving us. Leaving me." Deidara let go of me.

"You're not much better, Kid," I wiped my wet hair out of my eyes. "Come up and see us, whenever you want to, please. I'm r-really going to miss you. Even you, Samichi." My voice cracked as i let out a few sobs and a lousy chuckle. Itachi stepped up to me and put his arm around my waist.

"Thank you, Deidara. For being there for Akira. Though you should be going soon. Pain may get angry." With a few last goodbyes, Deidara and Samichi were gone.
