Wanting (Itachi Uchiha x OC) [Completed]

Chapter Twenty-Four: Team Kakashi.

I look up to the branch Itachi was on, to see him visiblt tense up. In an attempt to comfort him, I grab his hand and squeeze it, which he did back. Maybe I don't have to face my family just yet, but that's something I can't say for Itachi right now.

I made a mistake. A huge, terrible mistake. I shifted myself. The bark on the tree fell off. Oh, no.

"What was that noise, Sensei?" The pink haired girl asked Kakashi. I look up to see Itachi ready to jump from his spot. Instinctively, I put my arm in front of him.

"No, Itachi. I'll deal with this. We don't know how he'll react to seeing you." I say with my voice laced with worry. Itachi nodded, and acknowledging his proper approval, I pull my blade out and jump from the tree. All four of them were now standing, armed with shuriken and kunai.

"Why are you already armed? I could have been a rabbit." I state as I take a fighting stance.

"You're not, and I know who you are! They call you a rapid killer!" Naruto yelled as he threw a Shuriken and charged toward him, I grabbed his headband and wrapped it around his neck. I turned the boy to face the others. The blonde struggled, and Kakashi formed the hand signs for Chidori. I drop the headband and replace it with my blade. I moved my other hand down to cover his smaller ones so he couldn't form any hand signs.

"If one of you move an inch, I'll kill your Jinchūriki." I smirked and pushed my blade into his neck lightly, causing a small gash. Unknowingly to them, it was also draining his energy. Each of the Leaf ninjas stiffened at my words and actions.

"What the hell are you doing here Akira?" Kakashi shouted as he withdrew his Chidori. Kakashi is someone who I wasn't close with, but worked alongside for a while during my time living in Konoha.

"Well, I wasn't planning to do anything, but you heard me, so I guess it has come down to this." I said and stuck my bottom lip out mockingly. The pink-haired girl seemed angered by my words, and stepped forward, only to be yanked back by Sasuke. She seemed relatively surprised by his protective actions.

"Sakura, she'll kill Naruto, and probably you as well." Sasuke made a face of hatred.

Sakura.. The girl's name is Sakura.

"As fun as this could be, I should be going now." With that, I forcefully dropped Naruto on the ground, and ran away. The only person who was crazy enough to follow was Sasuke, but as he did with Sakura, was pulled back by Kakashi. He seems to be the only one who understands how powerful I am. That makes sense, he's the only one of the four who has seen them. Sasuke doesn't count, he was only a child when he watched me train with Itachi.

I run to where Itachi was, and perched myself on the branch he sat at.

"We should retreat." He said not meeting my gaze.

"You're right. I gathered information on his team and how they interact with one another." Itachi gave me a quick glace and nodded. I placed my hand on his cheek and pushed him to look at me. Giving him a small smile I pressed my lips to his. He obliged and kissed me back.

"Itachi, please don't feel guilty." I removed my hand from his face and pulled him into a hug. Not letting go until a squirrel ran up the tree we were on. Itachi jumped from the tree and I followed.

After being awake for nearly two days, I was completely exhausted, and I know Itachi had to be.

A small hotel lay alongside the road we walk on, so I decide to use the money Pain provided me with to rent a room for the night.

We walk in and were immediately greeted by a heavy-set man wearing neat attire.

"Welcome, welcome. Would you like to rent a room? How long?" He then led us to a desk. Ah, he's the receptionist.

"Yes, please. My name is Eiji Fugio. Just tonight." The man wrote down a few things then thrusts a sigh-in sheet thing I front of Itachi, telling him to sign here. He obliged, signing the form as Eiji Fugio.

"Thank you, Mr. And Mrs. Fugio. Your room number is 23. Enjoy your stay." The man winked at me and Itachi, causing my cheeks to flush light pink.

"Eh, t-thank you." I said as Itachi and I walked down the hall to our hotel room.
