You layed up against the small hill for support against your back as you watched the white-tailed deer gallop throughout the meadow-grassland like groups of young children chasing butterflies. The rustles of the short-thin grass and the deer's clampering herds of feet always melted your heart with pleasure to the sound of it.

You called this island Paradise- a place of refreshment and harmony. No feral animals live here, and even if there was, you'd rid of them quickly to restore peace. You didn't know if there was anything else out there in the world. You had always thought you were the only superior being in the world, and that your small isolated island was surrounded by only vast blue oceans and nothing more.

A squawking flock of birds flew above your head. Usually this was normal day after day, but these squawks were different, and you could tell. They were warnings. Something's here.

You got up out of your comfort zone and followed the path the flock had flown from. The way they came from led back to The Northern Bay, you called it. Not that it was actually North; you just thought it sounded cool.

You stopped for a second studying the silky yellow areas of smooth sand as it slowly shifted with the ocean waves' current. But the beautiful sight came to an abrupt stop when you saw a small wooden object on the ground which disrupted the sand's pattern.

You gasped in shock at what you saw.

A man, about an inch tall compared to your size, with now sandy brown hair (CAN YOU HEAR MY CRIES OF SUFFERING YET), laid on the ground seemingly unconscious to what you could tell. You quickly hid behind a tall hill as the man slowly arched himself upwards from what looked like a really rough landing. He groaned in pain, and you yourself cringed at the sight of all his bloody scars surrounding among his pale body.

The man looked around, frightened and hopeless. He didn't have a clue where he was, or how he got here. You knew in the back of your mind you two had to meet at some point considering the fact that the island was no bigger than a few hundred miles, but what you questioned was when you'd meet.

That question was answered shortly after the thought appeared into your mind when the man's gleaming blue eyes landed onto your large form, causing him to freeze in place. You mimicked his movements, having no experience of meeting a species similar to yours before. The only animals you had ever known of were the galloping deer and horses, tiny glowing night particles you called them (fireflies), a large variety of different birds, squirrels, rabbits, fish, and whatever creature you supposedly were.

The man yelled in fear, and hid behind his boat shaking heavily. You did the same, rushing further back to another hill to hide behind. Except you didn't shake- you growled defensively detecting nearby danger by instinct, which didn't seem to help the situation. You stopped quickly knowing the man surely didn't mean any harm by his current state, but that didn't mean you were going to let your guard down completely.

The man stepped towards you, and you took a step back.

"Quid tu hic agis huc?"

The man stopped.

"Latin?" He replied.

You looked at him puzzled.

"Quae est infernum, compendiosa Latin?"

"Shit..." The man mumbled to himself.

You cocked your head to the side, moving into the man's view and away from behind the hill. You knew he couldn't understand you- sort of, and you knew you couldn't understand him. If, whatever Latin was, he could understand you slightly, you assumed he could know at least some basic words of your language.
