"Shit shit shit!" (Y/N) whimpered.

Their string tangled around their arm began to stretch and tear at their skin as they tugged at it over and over.

"Damn it! Get... off..." A large, distant pound silenced (Y/N), and they went completely still in fear.

The noise got closer. And louder.

"No no no no no...!" (Y/N) began to struggle more, but the string wouldn't budge.

The knot wasn't any knot that could easily be undone. Not with (Y/N)'s small hands. It was just going to be one quick trip, they didn't even think twice to bring their dagger. (Y/N) brought it everywhere with them. Of course, the one time they desperately needed it, (Y/N) didn't even bring it.

Their eyes began to swell up. They didn't want to get caught. Not now.

"No no no... Come on...!"

A shadow formed in the distance, and it gradually grew in size as the figure stalked closer. It was the human that lived in the apartment.

(Y/N) just kept tugging. They were desperate at this point. Tug, after tug, after tug... and the shadow became only larger in size.

Suddenly, a large snap ruptured the air around (Y/N). Time almost seemed to freeze at the moment it happened; As fast as it happened was as fast as it hit them.

(Y/N) hollered in pain, and they fell to their knees, gripping sternly onto their tied up arm. They began to cry.

"Yo-you... s-son o- son of a bi- a bitch..."

(Y/N) grit their teeth together, causing a tear to stream down their cheek. The human had to of heard them.

Moving their arm ever so slightly forced out a horrid wave of pain. (Y/N) could barely even get up without something terribly stinging in their body.

Suddenly, everything around (Y/N) went dark, and they froze. They began to violently shake, and readied themselves to make a run for it.

(Y/N) turned back at the human, and their heart sunk to their stomach. All hell went loose with their instincts, and they made a bolt for it.

The string (Y/N)! The string!

They flew back by a tug, not by the string, but the back of their shirt. Someone grabbed them. The human.

(Y/N) flailed around in a panic, trying to let themselves loose of both the string and the hand holding them, but deep down they knew they had no chance.

"Hey hey hey, careful little buddy!" The gentle voice whispered above.

"You've hurt yerself really badly! I need to help ye out..."

"No! No no no!" (Y/N) whined in plea, turning away.

"Hey hey... hey! I don't wanna hur'cha at all... Listen!"

They went face to face with him, and his eyebrows were furrowed together. They went stone cold, fearing that they had pissed off the human.

"Listen... I'm sorry if I scared ya, I really am, but ye ain't gonna last out there with an arm like that," he gestured towards (Y/N)'s terribly broken, strained arm.

Looking back at it, their eyes teared up again, and they clutched it with their other arm. He was right, and (Y/N) knew it. Human technology was far more advanced than Borrower technology, and for what they themselves had, (Y/N) could never recover their arm to be the same way again without some sort of human assistance.

I shouldn't even be here right now! They thought in stress.
