Everyone, backs straight up against the wall, cowering in fear. The teacher was even twitching by his fingers. Nobody knew what the thing outside was except the teacher, but he continued to keep his mouth shut. You could hear everyone's heavy breathing all around you. Some of your classmates were on the verge of crying, while others were already sobbing silently. Nobody was capable of comforting anyone right now.

Your classmate nudged you in the side, catching your attention.

"(Y/n)." They whispered.

"What...?" You replied.

"I can see it." They told you.

"What the fuck is it?" You quickly replied, desperate.

"It's a Feral. We can't stay here."

Your breathing hitched at your classmate's words. A Feral was the worst Predator capable of being caught by, right beside a Naga.

All you could think was how the Feral had somehow found the Borrower school. It was in the center of a forest nowhere near any giant populations. It was built to be undetectable by any species of Predator.

The teacher hushed the room again, listening for any noise. It was gone. The rumbles had stopped. For a moment you had thought you heard talking from outside, but that thought was washed away when the noise of loud bristling of grass neared the window.

In just the snap of a finger, a large brown slit eye popped up in front of the classroom window, making everyone scream in utter panic. The classroom went wild, students running in different directions. You saw one of your former students snatched out the window just before you bolted out the door with the classmate which sat next to you.

"That wasn't a Feral!" You shouted over the screams of passing students.

"That was a Naga!"

Breathing heavily, they responded.

"I know I saw one! I swear! And he was huge!"

You scanned the hallway for any other escape routes, but all the doors were locked. You turned around, looking towards the very other side of the hallway. The Predatorial Classroom had been demolished, and you and your classmate would have gone down with it if you hadn't left.

"We need to head downstairs and leave." You said between breaths.

A low growl emitted from outside, making your hairs stick up.

"A Naga doesn't make that kind of growl." You mumbled.

"Neither does a Feral." Your classmate added.

You looked at each other.

"A Neko." You both said in union.

Talking could be heard outside the building, but neither of you could make out the words.

"We need to find Dally." Your classmate said.

You looked at them confused.

"Dally?"

"He's the Craeson downstairs." They told you.

"The bat kid?"

"Yeah. His species is going extinct. If there was one person I could save out of this entire school besides myself, then I'd choose him."

You bit your lip.

"Makes sense." You nodded.

"Come on, we need to hurry." Your classmate gestured you forwards, and you followed quickly.

As you ran down the stairs to the first floor, more talking could be heard from the outside. Your classmate began calling the little Craeson's name.
