A Species Swap with htaylor368
A sudden tiring feeling nailed you in the head, and your legs slowly slumped down upon themselves, leaning against Jack's arm. You whined a little, stratching at his skin harmlessly with your hooked black claws.
"Jack..." You groaned at the Predator.
"I'm tired..." Your head fell against his arm side.
Jack looked down at you, rubbing your head with his finger.
"Hibernation time?" He asked rather enthusiastically, cocking his head to the side.
You nodded wearily, glancing up at him.
"Mmhmm." You curled into ball.
"Storage Jack..."
Jack shook his head.
"No no no, I can't let you. You know I don't let you in there that long." He had never let you in storage during hibernation period before, and never would.
You groaned in protest, wiggling around.
"I have too...!" You urged.
"I know somewhere else that'll keep you warm for awhile." Jack said as he scooped you away gently with his hand as you sighed irritatingly.
Your eyes grew a tint of red, and Jack sensed your stress. He grew nervous that you might bite him with venom, but you had no intentions to do that to him. Not anytime soon.
You were taken into Jack's bedroom and placed onto his nightstand where your bed (that you basically never used) was set. You looked at him with a frown.
"You know this isn't going to work for hibernation, right?" Your voice was weak as you spoke, yawning between words.
"I know. Just give me a minute." Jack held up his finger, signaling for you to wait, and you did as he motioned to.
Jack went over to the done dried laundry. You'd been acting strange the last few days, and Jack noticed this easily. You were on the verge of hibernation again. He was a Predator who didn't store anything over twenty four hours. Parasite hibernation took beyond that time, and Parasites cannot be disturbed/released in this period. For Jack, that just wasn't going to fly with him, so he did the next best thing he could.
Jack opened up the laundry and pulled out a white warm cloth straight out from the dryer. It smelled nice too- it could most likely lull you asleep if you had a blanket-sized version of it... For Predators at least. Being a Parasite for your size, it essentially was a blanket.
Jack smiled triumphantly as he pulled it out. It was perfect for your size.
He quickly made his way back into the room you were in. You'd began to go cold and pale, and it was difficult to keep your eyes open. You needed warmth, and fast. Jack internally panicked at your visible state, quickly rushing over to the nightstand where you were. You could feel your pulse pounding at your wrists and underneath your jaw.
He knelt down so his chest was at your level, and his hands scooped you off your feet a second time, except this time, you had no strength to protest against his actions. Suddenly, a soft fabric began to wrap around your small frame like a burrito. It almost immediately warmed you up, its heat calming you pleasantly. You purred instinctively, a shiver rushing through you because the feeling had such an impact on your nerves.
The layers of fabric thickened as they were wrapped around you in circles even more, until then they eventually eased. It wasn't storage, which was unusual for you as a Parasite, but it was warm enough to last for a good amount of time for your hibernation.
Jack gently set you down on the nightstand once again, taking a good look at you. He didn't touch you, not wanting to disturb your slumber. Jack simply watched as you slowly began to doze away. He never could get over how small Borrowers/Parasites were- it was fascinating to him. You were one of a kind for what you were, which was why he kept you. And protected you.
Through your squinted, blurred vision, you managed to see Jack's wide smile look down over you. You couldn't move, as the fabric around you was too tightly wrapped around for you to move (it wasn't painful, though). Your head hung limply, and you felt your heart beat against your chest steadily. You let off a last second grin to Jack smiling at you before your tiny Parasite form drifted away into a state of hibernation, without requiring storage as an option for a place of rest.
