One year later...

"So, how's your new job been workin' out recently?"

"It's alright. Yours?"

"Not much different."

"This isn't why we're here."

"I know."

You took a sip of your drink on the table and looked at (F/n).

"You think we should go back and see if he's still there, right?" You assumed.

"Yeah." (F/n) said with a strong nod.

You rolled your eyes with a groan.

"My God, this is one of the stupidest things I've ever heard of since fucking Ricegum."

"(Y/n) you don't understand!" She said between shouting.

She paused, leveling herself.

"Sorry... It's just..."

You cocked your head to the side, waiting for (F/n) to answer.

"... okay- have you seen whats been trending around the news recently?" She said waving her hands around gesturely in random directions.

"It's how I knew you were going to bring this conversation up." You responded.

(F/n) slapped her legs.

"Well then you should get my point to why we should go back."

You furrowed your eyebrows.

"No, I still don't get it."

(F/n) huffed.

"We should check on him, y'know, make sure the government hasn't contaminated him or any secret shit like that they're known for."

You leaned your back into the chair with a face of disbelief.

"Check on him? He's not our pet. We've never even seen him in person! All the evidence we've got is our shit-quality photo of him photoboming behind us. He may not even be real for all we know, and we're just making ourselves look like a bunch of crack heads at a Saturday Night bar."

(F/n) rubbed her eyes in annoyance.

"FOX News article, published five hours ago: Satellite images capture photos of gargantuan footprints scattered in the Mount Everest area. Hmm, I wonder what that could be about..." She handed you her phone.

You skimmed through the article, getting the point quickly, and handing (F/n) back her phone. You went silent, reconsidering the thought for a moment about the idea.

You smirked.

"You're just a desperate son of a bitch aren't you?"

(F/n) chuckled.

"Not as much as you when it comes to trying to resist a filled glass cookie jar."

You both broke into laughter for a minute, before regaining yourselves.

"I might as well." You said, shrugging.

"I got nothing better to do in my life right now other than to try and earn a decent living."

(F/n) smiled.

"I knew you'd agree."

You and your friend took a big sip of your drinks in union.

"We don't got any of the gear our college provided us with last year though." You said stressfully.

"Then we can get our own gear. Fuck what the college provided us with; we could probably gather up ten times better gear from Kohl's or something like that." (F/n) said, standing up and stretching.
