There was an unsettling atmosphere in the bar; The kind atmosphere that felt like you weren't alone. You already felt like you were being watched outside, so the feeling following you into the bar wasn't exactly much of a surprise to you. Ferals, despite their size, were extremely stealthy when they were one on one with a human (sometimes multiple). You couldn't hear their footsteps, and could only determine their location by sense or the noise of their breath/growl.

Unpacking everything out of the bag was suddenly much more quieter than usual. Your breathing grew unsteady, and your hands began to twitch a little. Your movements were with haste and seemed frantic. Something wasn't right, and your instincts were screaming at you to realize that, but you tried to ignore it and think that everything was okay, but it wasn't.

There was a creak that emit from the roof for a split second, making you freeze, and it went dead silent. You listened for any other noise after that intently, and this went on for a good minute or so. You took a quick glance all around the bar in an attempt to find any subtle movement without leaving from your current position.

There was nothing...

You took a deep breath, continuing to unpack your bag, but now at a much slower pace, continuing to listen for more noise. You grew anxious, and the hairs stood up on the back of your neck. You'd never felt this paranoid in your life. Now you were starting to give in to your instinct’s message: you weren't alone.

You stopped unpacking your bag, and you pulled out your knife, stalking around the bar. You found nothing inside unusual, but you knew whatever was making you go crazy was coming from the outside. You slowly paced towards the front door shakily, and opened it with hesitance.

The wind whistled in an eerily gentle tone across the abandoned roads, making the palms your hands clammy. No birds sweetly chirped along the cable wires above, no cars sped through the streets, no people rode on their bikes with blissful smiles; It was just the breeze, and you...

... and something else...

You heard a grumble emit from the other side of the building as you paced towards the right side of the building, making you go on edge.

You made it to the corner of the building, standing right at the edge of the right side alleyway. A troubling feeling shook your bones, but your curiosity led you forward into the thick shadow of the large building.

You could barely see (nor hear) anything as you continued towards the back end of the building. You kept your grip on your slick knife firm and strong, ready for anything to jump out at you. Little did you know, the knife would be futile to your advantage of any battle you were about to ever face before.

A low growl emit from behind you, and your mind couldn't comprehend whether or not it was a stomach growl or a throat growl. Either or, you didn't dare turn around. You just wanted to run. You stayed silent for a moment, listening for any movement.

There was a shuffle; a scraping of cloth against the brick wall side.  It triggered your instincts in your legs, and you darted down the alleyway as far as you could, hyperventilating. Loud tremors trailed behind you, violently shaking the ground enough to slow you down. A finger managed to make its way around your right leg, throwing you off balance. Before your head could nail the concrete ground, you were quickly lifted into the air, throwing your stomach upside down painfully with a yell. You were lifted to eye level, greeted by two dim red glowing irises. You were face to face with a Feral.

You screamed, failing around hopelessly, trying to attempt to escape in any way you could- yet even if you did free your leg from the Feral's hands, the fall damage would be inevitably brutal, so running away would therefore be impossible.
