Scraps of dust were all he could find,

wishing nothing except for his life to rewind.

To the days where he brought peace and joy,

now he does nothing but destroy.

"It was an accident!" He tries to tell.

The crowd resented and wished him hell.

With no one around for comfort and ease,

Alone and cold, he feel to his knees.

"I want things to go back the way they were,"

he said as the wind passed with a burr.

A scrunch caught his ears, and he shot up in surprise,

growling lowly, he snared with snake eyes.

The little girl cried with her brother in fear,

and he slapped his instincts with an irritated sneer.

"I didn't mean it, I'm sorry!" He assured desperately,

and the siblings stopped their cries temporarily.

"Who are you?" The brother had asked with uneasiness,

"I'm Chase!" He answered quickly in speediness.

They looked at each other and the girl bit her lip,

his breath was loud like the motor of a warship.

"Would you mind if I held you?" Chase asked scratching his arm,

they nodded knowing that he really meant no harm.

In his hand, Chase keep his calm,

caring for them like he was their mom.

"What are you doing out here?" He asked curiously,

"Society banished us," the girl responded furiously.

He closed his eyes, what they did to him,

was a memory that always made Chase grim.

"They did it to me too, I'm a monster they'll say,

and it was for that I was then sent away."

"I guess we relate more than well," the boy spoke with a chuckle,

and Chase made a smile that was quick and supple.

It was nice to have company after days of isolation,

and that together they could have proper communication.

The people will tell you of the monsters in the forest,

but the title "monster" really means nothing by the smallest.
