I have been writing this book for years at this point, since 2017 I think? This book, in particular, has been my most long-going work I have ever done so far, and it's baffling to see the attention it got.
Unfortunately, I think I'm going to leave the book where it is now, at a place I feel satisfied with.
When I first got introduced to GT I had such a flourish of ideas that resulted in the 100+ stories you see here, some of which were yours as well. I realized that all these scenarios that I was coming up with in my head, pertaining to the fact that this was Jacksepticeye and his characters, just felt so deviating over time. Granted I guess there is no solid baseline for characters meant in a sense of fantasy, but I like to think I have a bit of a solid headcanon for them myself. And... it just got so far off after awhile. You can't just do the same concept over and over, it gets repetitive. That's why some of these one-shots were "exotic" environments or scenarios, to freshen things up a little more. But the point was that I was taking away what made these characters them in my perspective, and over time it just got so hard for me to envision these things in my process of writing. When I can't, I get lazy. Unmotivated.
I want to write things for you guys that I feel proud of with effort that's worth praising, and I just haven't found anything to be proud of in so long. I don't want to keep going on these hiatuses with a promise of coming back that takes longer than necessary to actually seek out. Not only do I feel like it's a punch in the gut for you guys, but it is in mine too.
There have been people who I've seen look up to my writing, which I felt was ridiculous at times, but encouraged me to keep going for so long. To pitstop this book hits me where it means most for them because of that fact alone. But that's where I don't want to make any promises.
Could I come back? Certainly. Not in the form of this book I will. If I'm going to make any sort of comeback/continuation of this book or some other it will be in a new one. Fresh out of the deck, new writing and all. Although it sounds like I'm leaving this book to the dust, I promise I won't be unpublishing this one. The very first few chapters of this book literally come from back when I first ever joined this ride of Youtubers and GT. All of that, and the continuous rail of my advancing writing skills upwards to this point. It's something, although embarrassing to an extent, I want-- and am willing-- to share with you all.
There are plenty of other talented writers on this website among others that have written and are ongoing with their stories similar to this one that I totally recommend you seek out. It's nice to see a variety of writing styles out of a particular subject such as GT, which is what got me inspired to arrange this one in the first place. Please go check them out and give 'em a try. I'll have a collection in my profile full of them shortly after the publication of this chapter.
I've removed all of my prior A/N chapters to this book to clean it up a little bit once more for you guys. I appreciate how long some of you have stuck with this book, the commenters, voters and passing readers. All of you stupid rascals mean a lot to me, thank you so much.
Now get back behind the toaster and smuggle those bread crumbs to the walls.
