Just a Pinch

"I don't know if I can do this. I r-really don't think I can."

"It won't be long (Y/n), I promise. Don't worry. He's only going to give you a quick vaccine."

"B-but I've heard it hurts."

"It only hurts for a second. It feels like a little pinch. Trust me."

The nurse walked into the waiting room with a smile, staring over at Jack.

"(Y/n) (L/n)?" She assumed.

You both nodded.

"The doctor will see you now."

You shuddered in fear, and Jack held you close, standing up. The nurse guided him to a room that was placed towards the very end of the hall. A sign which read strictly "DO NOT ENTER" was pinned to the door.

"Don't worry, that's always been there." The nurse assured.

Jack wasn't at all concerned. He'd known the doctor as a good friend for almost two years, unlike you on the other hand- who'd never even seen him before.

The door clicked open, and a man sitting in a chair, staring blankly at a glitched computer screen was toying around with a needle between his fingers.

"Your patient has arrived, Dr. Henrik." The nurse spoke, catching the doctor's attention.

"It'z Schneeplestein." He spoke, standing up from his chair.

"You may leave vnow, Miz Amy."

The nurse nodded, walking out of the room and closing the door behind her.

The doctor turned around, revealing an almost identical look to Jack, making you gasp in suprise.

"Zo, you've arrived avready, Jack? I waz expecting you later avong with your vittle vriend." He gestured towards you in Jack's hand.

"I guess you can just say that I was with a bit of a fast Uber Driver."

Henrik shrugged his shoulders.

"Vreazonable. Now let'z get ztarted."

You shuddered in Jack's hand, with a squeak. You never liked going to the doctor, and the fact that this doctor was a literal twin to Jack unsettled you.

Henrik pulled out a small chair that was raised up to his shoulder level. He commanded for Jack to place you on the chair, and he did as he was told. You resented to go in the chair ever so slightly, but you didn't want to cause a scene. You sat in the chair, and you were strapped in so you wouldn't try to escape and fall.

Henrik placed the needle he was fiddling with next to the sink, and pulled out a syringe from his drawer already filled with what you were going to be injected with.

"What's this vaccine supposed to be for again?" Jack asked, sitting in the guest chair.

"It'z veant vor (Y/n)'z body to devend againzt microcanzer. A canzer zat'z killing tiniez vrapidly."

Your eyes widened.

"So you're giving me cancer!?"

"It'z a weakend verzion ov ze microcanzer. It vwon't kill you. Hopevully."

Jack raised his hand

"Henrik, (Y/n) doesn't know what a vaccine is."

Schneeplestein cocked his eyebrow.

"You never had ze time to tell zem?"

Jack took a deep breath.

"I told them as much as it only hurts for a second."

Schneeplestein sighed, shaking his head. He began pacing towards you. Your muscles tensed, and your hands gripped into a fist. Was Jack lying to you? How bad was this really gonna hurt?

"Levt or vright handed?" Schneeplestein asked.

"I-I...?" You didn't know what he meant.

"(Y/n)'s a right handed." Jack spoke up for you.

Henrik nodded with a hum, aiming the thin syringe right at your right arm. You looked over at Jack with panic, who gave you a thumbs up that everything would be alright, but your instinctive thought told you otherwise of that.

The needle gently touched your skin, your insides shivered to its cold metallic touch, and you held your breath closed. Without warning, Henrik pushed it down into the skin ever so slightly more, just enough to pierce through your skin and into your bloodstream. Your breath released with a gasp in sudden pain, and the vaccine was quickly injected.

Schneeple pulled the needle out of your arm the moment it was empty. There was a tear in your left eye which had formed out of the stinging sensation that was coming from your arm. You were given a tiny cloth fit for your size to cover the spot which the needle had pierced into your skin.

"Zere you go! I told you it vwazn't going to hurt zat badly."

You nodded. It was what Jack had told you while you were in the waiting room with him.

"You may pick her up vfrom ze zeat pleaze." Schneeple told Jack.

Jack sat up from the guest chair and scooped you out of your tiny high-risen seat Schneeple unstrapped you from. You were craddled to his chest just like before.

"Thank you Henrik. I heard about it all over the news about how it was spreading in America, and I knew at some point it was going to come to Europe as well." They shook hands.

"It'z an abvzolute wildvire over zere, you're vright. I've had two other paztientz come in today to get zis vaccine az vwell. You're one ov zem."

Jack's eyebrows furrowed.

"Who was the other guy who came in today?" He asked.

Schneeplestein's eyes widened.

"You didn't hear? Our buddy Chase got a tiny ov hiz own az vwell!"

"Really?"

"Yeah!"

You watched the two discuss about their friend "Chase Brody" and how he had gotten a tiny of his own. You were daydreaming most of the time, since the conversation lasted for a good ten minutes, but you managed to recollect little snippets of the conversation like "the tiny reminds him of his kids" and "Stacey is planning to file a divorce." Some pretty rough stuff...

Schneeplestein led Jack out of the room and towards the waiting area where the exit was located.

"Doez (Y/n) vwant a prize to go?" Schneeplestein teased, getting a small giggle out of you and a good chuckle out of Jack.

"They've got enough at the apartment, believe me." He said with a smile.

Henrik, Jack, and you all said your last thanks and goodbyes before you left the hospital. Jack sat down on a bench, getting his phone out to get an Uber Driver to pick him up. He rubbed your back with his free hand with a smirk.

"See? I told you. It was just a pinch."
