Cold. Bitter. Freezing. Any synonym that goes along with cold. That was you right now.
Rain soaked everywhere you stepped forward. You were just barely able to bypass the rushing waterways beneath your feet that led towards the sewage gutter in the street. Your legs were screaming at you to stop pushing forward, but you refused to listen to them.
You were freaking out. Rumbles of thunder shook the ground every minute, each pause shorter than the last. A big storm was coming, and what you were in was just the appetizer of it.
The winds grew stronger, rushing past your torn jacket roughly. Your asthma kicked in, and it grew harder to breath. Your hands trembled as you shoved them into your jacket pockets for warmth. You hated storms. They scared you to death, even when you were in a house. But this was your first encounter with one outside. You might as well say you were walking in the worst part of a hurricane- or at least you were about to.
Lightning flashed in the sky and lit the entire area for a split second. It blinded your eyes looking straight at it. Another rumble followed with a few distant cracks like an earthquake. You had honestly expected the ground to snap beneath your feet at any moment.
Another flash lit up the ground, making you jump. A loud crackle instantly followed it, signaling the center of the storm had arrived. The wind blew harder, knocking you off your feet, and the hundreds of droplets of rain punched your back like metal fists. Your hands were forced out of their comfort zone of your jacket pockets and clawed at the ground to keep the wind from taking you away. Your body reached a crack in the cement you were on, and you held onto its edge for dear life. You began to hyperventilate, your legs limp like rag-dolls as they were carelessly blown at ease in the wind
A flash lit up the sky, and for a split second, you thought you saw a silhouette of a tall man appear at the end of the block. Split in the head between whether or not you were just hallucinating, you kept your eyes peeled intently at the area you'd seen the man, ready for the next flash of lightning to brighten the ground. It was too dark for you to see with no light.
A rumble echoed in the distance, and the flash of light came back again for you to see; Your stomach dropped.
The man's shillouette appeared once again, and he'd gotten closer.
Your mind was racing. Did you dare let go and try to run? Did the man even know you were there, or was he just taking a stroll? Letting go would get you potentially (probably) killed by being carried away by the wind, and staying would either get you squashed if he didn't see you, or he did know you were there, and that he was a Predator.
And that was the problem that made you frantic- you didn't know what he was.
More rumbles began to shake the floor, but this time, it wasn't the thunder doing it. The man was now close enough to be seen without light, and his feet stopped right in front of you. The wind lessened, now blocked by the giant shoes. You managed to let go of your long lasting grip from the cement crack, your hands red. Your instincts clicked, and you ran the opposite direction.
"Well well well, what do we have here?" You heard the voice speak from above, and a hand came reaching down for you.
The wind suddenly switched directions and blew to your side, throwing you off into a freezing puddle where rain filled an area of low cement in the sidewalk. You went pale as you felt the hand pinch your jacket and raise you up from the ground, now soaked in freezing water that dripped in tiny droplets off your open skin and clothing.
You were raised up to two bright blue eyes which dilated when they got a closer look at you. You trembled out of fear and temperature, your throat drying, and your hands feeling numb and clammy.
