(**Warning: Oneshot not recommended for the faint-hearted**)

There's nothing more terrifying than being a Borrower in the same room with a species of giant you don't even know which one.

What if I just told Jack I was a fan? No, I couldn't just say that; He wouldn't believe me!

I was shaking violently behind the jar full of old Halloween sweets I had pulled by me.

My schedule was perfect! There's no way it could've screwed up!

That's where I thought wrong. It did screw up because I forgot it was Daylight Savings.

Loud- but faint tremors began emitting from his bedroom. Getting closer and closer to where I was before stopping right behind me.

"My God it's getting late..." Jack yawned, making me shiver from how close in proximity he was.

My mind was yelling at me to get the hell out of there, but I knew better that I would be seen in plain hindsight if I even tried by the slightest.

A loud *plop* echoed above me as Jack tore the jar lid off like butter. His hand reached into the jar, his pale skin pressing against the side of the transparent walls. I could almost feel his hand touching me through the glass.

Please for the love of God, don't find me... I struggled holding back sobs, but that didn't stop my tears from escaping my eyesockets.

Seconds later, Jack's hand suddenly stopped scavenging the jar. Everything was dead silent. My breathing hitched as I heard Jack sniff the air.

A giant wouldn't just randomly sniff the air unless...

Jack hummed.

"Is that what I think I smell...?" He cooed

My hands clinched together as Jack's large shadow loomed over the jar. Even more tears drained from my eyes.

"AHA!" Jack shouted as I yelped, but his voice overcame mine by a landslide.

What I thought was going to be a hand to take me to my grave, instead was the complete opposite.

"The last one of the bunch! I knew you weren't gone!" Jack said triumphantly, holding one of what I knew was one of his favorite pieces of candy.

He then began walking back to his bedroom- but something didn't seem right when he did.

Jack seemed almost... unsatisfied... with what he had gotten out of the jar. I myself noticed this even though he was supposedly bubbly and hyper. But I didn't think too much of it since I was basically reviving from just having a panic attack.

Not much longer later, I ran like hell out from behind the jar and made my way towards the edge of the counter. The nearest hole, unluckily for me, was all the way in the living room, because the walls in the kitchen were too thick for me to break through.

I anchored my grapple to the edge of the marble counter and slid down the damaged rope, landing roughly onto the ground. I then sprinted towards the living room without hesitation.

"Man... I'm still hungry as fuck; that candy wasn't shit!" Jack's loud voice rang from his bedroom.

Jack's bedroom door swung open as he began pacing his way out. Time felt as if it froze as his baby blue eyes suddenly met to my small form. The hairs on the end of my skin stood up as noticable as Spidey-Sense. My head slowly turned towards him, and at that point my body was in complete shut down at the sight of Jack starring at me.

His body hunched down and krept towards me slowly like a big cat getting ready to pounce onto their prey. My mind flicked on and I ran like hell towards the living room. At the same time, Jack tailed behind me at death-defying speeds. His quick and loud tremors from his feet shook the ground like an earthquake, slowing me down greatly.

Just yards away from making it into the living room, I was snatched up in a large, strong fist, and quickly lifted face-to-face with Jack.

"Well well well, look at what we have here?" He said with a smirk.

My body shook like an earthquake at his booming voice.

"N-no its not what you think!" I blurted.

"Oh I know it's what I think, and it's what you think too." His sharp canies gleemed from the light in the room.

"J-Jack! Please!" I shouted, making him freeze.

His eyes looked at me questionably.

"You know my name?" He asked

"I-I'm a fan!"

Jack huffed.

"A Borrower as a fan? Nonsense!"

Every beat from my heart told me that I was alive for at least one more second.

"I know your ch-channel! I've watched your v-videos and everything!"

"What's my channel name then?"

I shivered knowing one fatal mistake could blow the bomb for me entirely.

"Jack... Jacks-septiceye."

His eyes widened in suprise.

"Well I'll be damned, the tinies have technology."

"Yes!" I nodded my head vigorously.

He chuckled loudly. I tried covering my ears, but my arms were pinned to their sides roughly and sternly.

"You see, here's the thing bud..."

Jack's other hand picked me up by the collar of my shirt, and I was left danging by his fingers.

"... none of that changes the fact that you're still a Borrower."

My guts felt like they were melting.

"B-but I'm a fan Jack! I th-thought you loved y-your fans!"

"I do. It's like loving your friends, and then loving your date. I love all my fans, some slightly more different than others."

He grinned, looking at me square in the eyes with his burning with hunger.

"And then there's you little guys that I love most..."

I couldn't hold back my fear anymore, and I began crying. Silently.

"Aw~, is that tears I see~?" Jack cooed.

"I can't tell if it's of joy or sadness..."

"P-please..." I sniffled.

"... l-let me g-go."

Jack smiled at me wickedly.

"If you insist."

Gravity impaled me in the stomach as I was raised up higher in the air, left looking down at Jack who didn't set his lingering eyes off me for a second. I yelped, trying to grab a hold of his finger, but my grip simply slid.

"Have fun inside little squeaker..." Jack's mouth opened wide open like a gate to hell.

Time froze as his grip on my collar let loose, and I was sent going in a free-fall. The last thing I saw was my hole in the wall that led to my home where my last friend used to live before descending into darkness.
